What most of you all are forgetting is that Boeing has been building quality military and civilian planes as an indepedant company since the early days of aviation.  Airbus is new to the mix and was a cooperation between several european companies.  Bah.  I'm all about Boeing.

now i voted airbus but it was a really hard decision because Boeing are fantastic builders of planes, the dream-liner is going to be a great addition to there fleet, but the reason i picked airbus is the A380 they have had the balls to do something different, now the 747 is getting old its an awesome plane just its an old design,

the new longer 747 (don't know the name) its impressive but its still the same shape as the 747 we have already seen this, is double decker planes the way forward who knows only time will tell.

Airbus.

They are so much nicer to fly than an equivelent Boeing marque eg. 737-300 vs A319, Airbus Hands down.. amazing Even tho my favourite flyer is the 757

This topic isn't related to BF2S, and it isn't related to BF2... so it is within the rules of this forum section. So STFU.

The new 747-800 Intercontinental is a testament to Boeing's greatness. A 40+ yr old plane design can still compete (and outperform) a brand new airliner.

i didnt think it was built yet, also the 747-800 fits in to a niche in the market where no other plane is so who does it have to compete with/out perform? there are no other planes with the same seat copacity. its definatly not competing with the A380 that has more seats, different part of the market.

All hail the 747.

Until we get the A380.
