Okay, theres a lot of xxx country sucks talk here at the moment and I actually think its kinda unhealthy (Who here seriously hates Americans?  I sure as hell don't!), so in an effort to detract from it and lighten up a bit, because I think we all need to, tell us something about yourselves Debate and Serious Talk regulars...

Me, I'm 28, work part-time in the storeroom of an electrics factory and study Computer Science and Philosophy at Canterbury University full-time when I'm not at work.  Outside of BF2/computer stuff I rather like whitewater kayaking even if I don't get to go nearly as often as I like, I'm also into the odd bit of Urban Exploration; exploring abandoned buildings, stormwater drains etc.  I've never served in the military, though I've considered it many times, one time so seriously that I got myself up to the fitness standard required to pass the fitness component of a NZ army battle fitness test.  I like all sorts of foods, favourites include Thai, Indian and Italian, and I just about burned tomorrows lunch while typing this message.  I speak english, and know a few random words of a few other languages, partly thanks to our beloved games

Your turn.

Oh, and tomorrows lunch is tandoori chicken drumsticks with basmati rice and sweet chutney in case anybody wants to know

Me? 14. I go to Canberra Grammar School. Actually a Vietnamese migrant, but diligence at study means I've gotten to the top in almost all subjects (save design). When I hit uni? Either pure science - quantum/particle physics etc, or Actuary or political science.

What else?

im 16,  i rarely do homework in school or study for tests, because i have come to realize that knowing what past participles are, wont help me in life.

i run, everyday, at least 3 miles, at full sprint. Why? because i have nothing better to do with my time. its either im mooching off a private pool or im working/playing BF2.

i go shooting once a week with some former Marines. i love shooting, and i can put a hole in a playing card at 600 yards with my current setup

Argh. Move it back. Now we have the derailers and tards on here, this was meant to be for the DEBATE AND SERIOUS TALK COMMUNITY, and the first two posts after the move are either stupid or derailing.

I'm 18 and just out of high school. I'm an American living abroad.. my dad works for the USAF as a civilian at RAF Mildenhall. I've been in Europe for over two years now. I lived a year and a half in Germany, and I'm coming up on a year here in England. Although I consider myself a Texan.. I'm actually a Greek - Idahoan. My dad's from Idaho, and my mom's Greek.

In the Spring, I'm going to Florida to the best aviation school in the world - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Hopefully by the time I graduate, the Air Force will be accepting pilots who have had laser eye surgery. If that doesn't work out, I'm going to become an airline pilot.

In the six months between high school and college I was hoping to get a job to earn some extra money. Unfortunately, I finally got around to buying Battlefield 2 about a month ago and that's pretty much how I spend my free time. Life's pretty dull for me right now, pretty much everyone I know has already left for college in the States.

That's 'bout it.

16, live in a remote area of the NT, Australia (there is remote, and then there is remote). Grew up in the NT, think redneck territory in Australia. Work 4 hours a day unpaid for my Dad's business. Learning ko-tora-kai karate and some other, more obscure weapon arts. After school I'm off to uni to study international law and any geopolitical courses I can get into. Saving up some money to head over seas again (already been to the U.K. but I didn't get to see Scotland or Ireland...) hoping to get to Europe and the Americas when I can.

School is easy, go to a public school. Top of the class in Engrish, History and any other similar subjects.

I'm 29. Work in an independant computer shop selling games, dvds, figures, posters, rpg stuff, which is great cos I get to test/borrow anything before buying and get good discount .  I have a national diploma in Business and Management, but don't want to work for a big corpoartion(lol wrong course then), I would love to own my own little cafe/bar.
I once sailed from Scarborough Harbour to New Zealand, which took 3 months, down to Teneriffe across the atlantic through the panama canal and across the pacific to NZ, with a few stops on the way.
I'm over weight , smoke lots of pot and have a terrible diet
Favorite meal is Fish n Chips or A sunday roast
Like alternative rock music - chili peppers, Brad, Satchel, Candlebox, Tea Party to name a few
Your probably getting bored now so I'll stop

Hmm 16 OK I guess that means I can halt my search on "who is Flecco and is he really my cousin from Gove". I could have rung my cousin to find out but hell that would be far to easy.

Im 32, married 6 months ago, former Australian Army Reserve (activated to RA). I currently work in the Purchasing/Finance sector of BluescopeSteel Australia (for all you Americans we are the guys who bought Butler builders USA)

The four major "loves of my life" My wife, my country, paintball and battlefield2 (I was going to put scotch but my wife is reading over my shoulder)

P.S. Im not what I would consider a regular poster in Debate and serious talk however every time i post there I seem to either get a fairly good sized reaction or Im quoted numerous times so i figured I could add myself in here
