it will be out very soon, and the open 2142 beta could come out later today or next tuesday. Vengeance brought up a good point, they usually release patches/content on tuesdays and fridays

plus, all their stuff always comes out on a tuesday. my bet, if it is winding down as you feel, will be next tuesday, or maybe this one later tonight..... but i dont know if ill download it to be honest, not till i see if other people want to stab EA in the eye after getting it.... im half tempted to go back to 1.03

The beta is in version 2 because version one was shitty. The EA site is down for me and others it seems. Try forcing a reload.

a new version of bf2 has been spotted on four EAUK servers. v1.1.2961-793.0 seems to be newer than 1.1.2940-772.0 which is known as v1.4beta2.

so it could be the final 1.4 release candidate or a new beta patch version.
