Yes, I'm officially the lamest high rank you can get. It's lamer than Master Sergeant, because it shows that I've played even more hours without getting the basic badges. That badge is ground defence.

If i got that ground defence badge i would've been Sergeant Major instead. Ah well, can't have it all. It's unique i guess and shows that i didn't bother to sit in a mounted MG/Tow all day long. But still.

It even looks worse than the 1st Sergeant badge in game.

Any other Master Gunnery Sergeant's out there?

I was a master sergeant once, all because of the basic pistol knife bug where getting the vet requirements before getting the basics first meaning the basics not showing up and only getting vet.

I hated that rank, mostly because it looked like a vagina and I wanted a yellow and black diamond, but now I would much prefer it over first sergeant.

Sgt major does look better but you will only have that rank for 10 more thousand so dont worry.

i got my vet pistol b4 basic and i still got the better rank

Yeah that's BS... I got my basic/veteran knife badges simultaneously and got the correct rank.

He never held that rank. He was like Staff Sargent when I met him, and I was Sargent. (This was back when Sargent was 10,000 points and Staff Sargent was like 50,000 I believe.) So when 1.12 came out, he went straight to Sargent Major.
