How's this look, it's on sale for 10$ today, perfect for my budget.  Plus it's PS/2 which is good because I want to conserve my USB slots.

Plus it comes with a set of speakers, can't get much worse than the 8-year old ones from NEC that i'm using, believe me.

Plus a nice looking mouse with that that has 5 buttons compared to this current ones simple 3 button setup, and the mouse has a cool looking LED light in it.

My current mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6826104157

Come to think of it, no.  I'm just wondering what everyone else think about it.

As far as reliability the G15 supposedly takes 10,000 keystrokes per key, and i have yet to have any problems whatsoever with it.

People say the G5 is the best out there right now, but the MX518 has more buttons and the only thing the G5 has on it is 2000 dpi instead of 1600 dpi...

That G15 looks awesome, plus it looks like a spacesaver which is just what I need, and EVERYONE here has one.  It has two USB ports of it's own so you can more than make up for the one it currently uses, god I wish I had 65$ to blow on a keyboard.  That one looks SO good.  I'm stuck using an HP 2K-3 issue keyboard right now, it's very noisy, but it has more multi-functions than those cheesy fragile Dell keyboards.  Still, that G15 beats the hell out of every keyboard i've ever used.

oh, it's an awesome keyboard, but ANYthing but a space saver, it's freakin' huge.

That being said, I love it.  However, if $10 is just right for your budget, I'd hardly try to convince you to increase your budget 1000% to get it.

G15 can take a beating as well. What a great keyboard.

I believe the G series is specifically designed for gaming and as such has on the fly resolution switching

Are those gaming mice laser or optical?  I have MX1000 laser and it doesn't hit 1000 dpi... about 800 or so.

MX Laser Engine:
Surface Sensitivity: 20x versus optical.
Image Processing: 5.8 Megapixels/sec.
Resolution: 800 DPI.

What's up?...

You have to raise or lower your sensetivity I believe, not sure.

The MX518 was the top of the line gaming mouse before logitech came out with the G series. I say dpi doesn't matter too much because I don't have my sensetivity turned up high for max dpi, and i highly doubt you do either. (for people with the G5 or G70

The reason you don't think you need more buttons is because you haven't used them. I usethe knuckle button to close aplications on my desktop, and with two buttons I can navigate forwards and backwards on the net just with my mouse, handy if you want to refresh a page. In game I use the back button for get in/get out, and the forward button for parachute.

Yep, G15 is best for gamin, I made some shortcut keys ''macro's'' for ingame Bf2 w00t
And the Mx518 is sweet for gaming aswell, I can choose 5 diferent types of speeds
1. 400 dpi, for sniping
2. 700 dpi, for tv guided missle and gunning
3. 1050 dpi, for normal shootin
4. 1400 dpi, Armor and such
5. 1600, for flying

And it can be changed ingame w00t

Well aint that sweet?
And the 2 extra mouse buttons on my mouse are now my enter/exit vehicle keys and reload keys, which is much more quicker then pressing ''e'' and ''r''

Yeah, if ur going for a new key board and mouse, get these 2, it did cost a bit, for me the total was 130 euro's, but it worth it,

Its not a space saver!  its larger then ur average keyboard, but then again I don't care
