I'm a comic book geek so I'd go back in time either when the first issue of X-Men came out, or when Superman & Spiderman made their first debut in Action Comics and Amazing Fantasy... God I wish I could get a hold of those...
As for the future, probably around 3050... I dunno why 3050, maybe because it's coincidentally the same year as Mechwarrior LOL but even before I knew Mechwarrior took place during the mid 31st century, I still had my own fascination with 3050 for some reason, I still don't know why to this day.
