China launches its long anticipated attack on Taiwan in 2016, with no warning, having secretly stockpiled landing craft for the past five years. They use a tactical nuclear strike to sink the US carrier and break through capturing much of Taiwan before being halted by US reinforcements flown in from Japan. The US pledges to liberate Taiwan and slowly begins to push back the PLA. At the request of the Chinese Leader, North Korean troops enter South Korea launching artillery strikes on Seoul. Unable to commit enough forces to defend both South Korea and Taiwan the United States requests help from the European Union. The European Union refuses, but after three days of intense fighting the North Koreans nuke Seoul. Condemning the attack the European Union declares war on North Korea, and China promptly declares war on the EU.
Meanwhile sensing that no one can stop them with the current conflict raging, Russia invades the Middle East in an attempt to hold a monopoly on the remaining oil. Hoping to sell it at extortionate prices to the current combatants. However despite heavy fighting haven ravaged the area years earlier the Middle East Coalition puts up an intense fight to hold onto their land. The conflict becomes more serious then expected and oil supply to the countries fighting in Asia is cut off.
So the Factions fighting would be:
EU vs. North Korea
USA vs. China
Russia Vs MEC
The battles would start more mobile with plenty of jets/ tanks. But when the oil supplies are damaged the focus would turn to infantry combat. Tactical nukes would definitely be a commander asset.

But i might as well carry on the fantasy. I think to make this game superb the maps would have to be realistic in diametre, and the blast outcomes of the nukes realistic, it would almost be a WWIII simulator. You would have to have mutations , eyes melting etc. I would love it, but you'd need something futuristic to have fast transportation.. ie: a vehicle that can travel at the speed of sound. And of course you would have to have bullet time in the game.
