Will children of gay people necessarilly become gay? No, since homosexuality is partly genetic. No, because children often seek to become different than their parents.

And is it a crime against humanity to adopt a child if you live with a person of the same sex you love?

No. Crimes against humanity are human rights violations. And while we're at it, the US loves to punish people who violate human rights. Which means they should be spanking their own damn butts.

One other thing.  You don't have to back yourself up with statistics if you don't want to.  You should be able to give a rational reason for why you feel the way you do though.  If you can't speak intelligently about why you feel the way you do, nobody here will respect you.  If you can't understand the difference between trying to have an intelligent conversation and "trying to force shit on you" (sic) then you need to take Marconius' advice and stick to posting in the "OMG HAX" threads.

And by the way, Skruples is better than you because he isn't a hateful person and can write and argue intelligently.

Anyway, late to the party, but here is my take on it.

Marrige being defined in the U.S. should not be the role of Government, if they choose to respect only the wishes of the dominant religion (Christianity). Hence, remove the tie between Legal Marrige and Religious Marrige and you have no problem what so ever. Have a Justice of the Peace do the legal marrige, then have people get whatever ceremony they want (from getting married in a packed church like St. Pauls Cathedral, to a simple 'jumping over a broom' that slaves did historically.)

Hence Religious people would be able to 'protect' their religious values from homosexuality by banning it from their churches, and gay people would be able to have FULL legal married status.

End of issue -- BUT the Republicans would never go for it, as it would neutralize one of their 'vote-getting' 'hot-button' diversions. Instead of people focusing on the craptastical job Bush has done on Iraq, Katrina, Gas Prices, Transportation, Budget Balancing, Climate Change (denial for years), etc... they are focusing on flag burning and gay marrige. Essentially sweeping their problems under the rug and hoping no one notices.

My apoligies of my spelling. I'm on Lortabs from getting wisdom teeth dug out of my skull today. Typing is my only form of tsalking currently, so I'm rambling too.

I assume by "be f**** by other kids" you basically mean be picked on by oater kids.

Be that as it may, the last I knew kids were getting picked on for lots of other reasons too.  And certainly having two parents that love you is a pretty good coping mechanism for being picked on.
