Ok - probably a dumb question. Is there any way to get OFF a ladder once you start climbing it? Or do you have to finish going up or down.

I was going up a ladder last night and 2 guys were running around under me and they had not seen me yet....if I could have jumped down, gone prone, i could have got them both....instead they saw me within 2 sec and I was a easy target.....

In answer to your question: hold s, press shift (you slide down quickly)

No, there is no way to let go of a ladder (Which is what I think you mean). You can either continue climbing up, or slide down. Thats it.

spacebar to jump off it, shift and S to go fast down, S to climb (slow) down

Edit: Also If you noticed that its in the wrong place you can always report it using the report button and we will move it for you. Using the report button doenst count against you or who ever your reporting it just makes the mods/admins aware of a situation that needs fixing.

You can also press S two times fast to accelerate your downward slide (assuming you are looking down).

Why get off the ladder at all ? The ladder is ÜBER deadly... I've already killed two poeple with one.... At least that's what it said in the kill messages....
