Key Changer? You mean like to re-enter the one you got with the game? You can put your key back in in the support folder of your BF2 directory with the program labeled "CD Key" whatever. Other than that there is no way to change or modify your CD legally.
Why I want to, well my brother bought a copy of bf2 a long while back and we have been playing for a while, now we both have a computer and we cant play on the same server with the same bf2 key as you know. So I bought another copy of the game and instead of installing everything again I just wanna know if you can change it with a program or something?
I have done this before the 1.3 patch came out and it worked fine but I can't find that program again.

Follow these steps... it worked for me!
- Start -> Run -> regedit
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc
- Edit the (default) value you see there, type your new CD key in, without dashes.
- Run the full 1.3 patch again.
- Check back in the registry to ensure your CD key has been encrypted properly. If not, then run the full 1.1 patch followed by the full 1.3 patch.

alright well I just re-installed everything and put in a new key and it all works fine... well sortof
one thing is, I've run the punkbuster update but I am still getting disconnected after 5 minutes in every map which I join:

Hmmm...I got that same error when I tried to do the "no disk crack" (to try and preserve my disk that my kids just can't get through their thick heads to return it to the case...grrr...left laying around again...on the data side...grrr).

I've never had problems using Daemon tools and mounting an image of my DVD.
At least it looks like the CD key changed ok for you!

Nope...not unless you call uninstalling the crack a "fix". Back to just using the disk...and yelling at my boys
Corrupted File/Memory probably means a bad install, sorry bud but you'll probably have to re-install again.

Fujin, just use Daemon tools!
Download Daemon tools and install it. Image your CD/DVD using Alcohol 120% (or download a BF2 mini-image). Mount the image in one of Daemon's virtual drives. Enjoy!

Well, have you deleted the BF2 folder before you´ve reinstalled the game? Try that. And use the fullpatch 1.3 not the incremetalsNesa-01 wrote:

Ok, well I think I have fixed it, made an image of my cd and mounted on daemon tools, seems to work fine...

1. Yes. Maybe. I don't know. Who cares when it's the CD key sticker that you are really paying for!
2. Yes. The disc doesn't need to physically spin up to perform the CD check, so it does load faster. Combine this with the rename movies tweak, the general.con cleanup and the command line account login and you've got one speedy start to the game! (Those tweaks can be found elsewhere on the forums of course!)
