And look for my new 64 player ranked SF server in two days....A truly International server out of NY with a West Coast and UK ping at around 80 many different players can fight in a more even playing field 24/7.
No Rules of course. PURE. The way it should be played. No censorship. VOIP. FF on (no gaymores), Day and Night Maps. In fact...night maps every other map so it goes day/night/day/night etc. Different map sizes of the same map..20 sec wait to set up teams with friends.....large clans are encouraged....creative mix of maps.
No fear of getting banned for bullshit. In fact I don't believe you can do anything to get banned permanently....its childish. I will wipe after a week if they even happen. I won't listen to complaints....just play the game.

I have reason to believe the best way to capture a flag on Iron Gator is to use the transport helicopter (After taking out the Phalanax of course) and flying the long way around to the east just along the edge of the map. Then flying into the rear hanger.
This theoretically works better when the elevator is up, as it protects kinda from those on the deck. The main problem is, of course, the Apache. But if the Hind and Tunguska are doing their jobs, the only problem should be the SRAWS.

DMZ-gaming have set up a couple of forums for BF2 micro-cultures that have developed into communitied so far and would be happy to do so for you guys too.

We're getting into community event organising too and if you have any ideas we'd like to hear them.
Our Chaos server runs 24/7 SF, though it will be down this Saturday for the Medics vs Sniper competition.
It's a dedicated Multiplay server with a ton of power so should be cool if you want to try it out.

I'd be willing to give another server a shot. Let us know what name to be looking for, and I'll keep an eye in the list for it.
Just wanted to say I'm glad there are few SF'ers left out there...
Myself? Just love it. Vanilla is nothing compared to SF. The Grapple and the ol' zipper is what BF2 Vanilla should have gotten from the beginning.

EA is lame and did not include a gamma adjustment in the game. You need to go to your video card, crank up the gamma 50-75% (play with it 'til you get the right amount for your eyes), and you will find like me, you only need the night vision goggles about 10% of the time, if that. I rarely use them on the maps. Make sure you have shadows and light in the game options set to low as possible (off is even better). You will love those maps once you get your machine set up right.King_County_Downy wrote:

This "community" needs to be larger, we need to convert people.. or go farther, lets show up on people's doorstep with a SF pamphlet... ... tell them the wonders of SF.

Im planning on playing more of it, i tested out all the maps in an empty local server, and i like it

Oh how I love the Night Maps...Its taken awhile to even get them going, but I am an avid SF playa.
i am on the west coast and i am usually in the 30's, seen it as low as seven once. if it's over 100 i disconnect. too jumpy, if i had to live with it at 90 i would but it would suck.strykker wrote:

SF rocks i have been playing it exclusively lately, as everyone says, less BS, less tk'ing, more teamwork, just all around better.

I have figured out why SF is soooo much better than Vanilla. It has come to me in a dream... ...
