Blazin Uk, Snofru, ta firestorm, ECR.RC, bushviper, Rd Volx, Loki: these are some of best players of the world, and do that, you must be a hard-core, possessed BF2 player. Is it really about hard work and dedication or is there something else at play in how they are getting these obesene stats.
There are several issues and concerns about their stats, how they got where they are, what kind of jobs they hold, and the most important question of all: Do they have a life?
1) Looking at their stats for a good 30 min show that they have more golden awards than fort knox. Thats good and all, but ask yourself this question: Is it humanly possible to get such rewards and a sick amount of points? The answer is both yes and no. Yes being that they are very skilled and know the fastest way to get points in a short amount of time. And no because although there have been both confirmed and unconfirmed rumors of hacks (HAXS), there has to be some kind of exploit they are using. What kind of exploit their using, we will never know. I have talked to many hard core gamers who play online FPS namely the counter strike game : They all say that it is nearly humanly impossible to get all those awards and points.
2) With the exception of Firestorm and ECR.RC, everyone plays an average of 3-5 hours. Even for the very well seasoned Bf2 player in the world, 3-5 hours a day is not enough to get 300-400K points in one year since the game comes out. The only way to get a crap load of points per day is to play more. But how can u get that many points in a short amount of time. You cant play sparingly and expect to get the credentials they have. SO another theory is that they have found a way to beat EA/DICE Battlefield 2 system.
3) What they do for a living is not my concern, not my business, and not yours either. But i mean, out of the 10 best in the world, ECR.RC and firestorm average 6-8 hrs per day playing a $50.00 online FPS. I mean most people have jobs, have families, have other responsibilities. I mean if it were humanly possible to get the stats they have, they must stay in front of their computer all day long, have bad Body odor, eat doughnuts, soda, and chips, be overweight and so on. The only responsibility in their head is a screen filled with dots, a huge rifle, people running around like they are Rambo, and so on.
4) IN TERMS of stats: its good to have nice numbers, nice awards but ask yourself this question: Is it going to get your far in this world? ( in terms of a good job, education, promotion). It will do you wonders in the gaming world, but lets face it, no one can live in that world forever: its called growing up ladies and gentlemen. I mean what are those top 10 people going to do: print out their stats page on www.bf2s.com or any BF2 stats web site and attach it to their resume and get a nice six figure sallery: I DONT THINK SO>.
ANyone who does is the biggest noob of all, as if there are not enough noobs in the game.
5) If you are going to be the best, be the best in sports where you can get a full scholarship, be the best in your job so you can earn more money and buy some neat stuff, be the best in what you do aside from games. Seeing their stats, it is starting to seem clear to me that they dont have anything to be proud of, not doing anything really productive in their lives, other than game all day and night. I am willing to bet money that they flunked out somehow and they are trying to make it up by being a BF2 frekazoid. No real sense of accomplishment folks.... its that simple
6) Finally, ask yourself this question: Where do you draw the line between the seriousness, responsiblilities, and the uncertainty of life and all the killer hard core gaming that these people do. When is it going to click in their head that being the absolute best in the BF2 is not going to get me something better in life. When is it going to click in their head that getting 400K points does not mean $400,000 per year salary. Do they plan to have kids and a family one day, or is it Bf2 beats sex. If anyone thinks sex suxs and read playboy or other porn all day long, man its best to say they have not gone through puberty yet.
And when will they learn that it is better to do something tangible ( get a degree, research, get a job not the fast food kind and so on)..
Think about that gamers especially Bf2 people. I know i am not that desperate to be the best, i just have fun.
