Well I can tell you that since it was my idea in the origional topic, and the fact that I'm putting my sig on the line. I would be the medic team leader.

I'm not sure how the sniper side is picking theirs, they can do it pretty much however they want.

I've heard that some of the snipers have been practicing and getting tatics together for this. I'm just planning on showing up and making it happen.

Well you need to be a good leader then, just because it was your idea you could be the worst leader ever. I think we should get all the medics together and have a practise? Our commander needs to be good with orders, and our squad leaders team players.

908741059871059781 started this whole thing off so he will be the lead for the medics. The sniper community are going to be selecting a leader for their side. It seemed a fair and easy way to do it.

Well it doesnt have to mean I'm commanding all of the rounds, though I would like to command at least one round.

Anyways, Xfire me and we could set up a practice. I have some good ideas on what we need to do, but other input is always welcomed

If the team wants to practice, then we could definatly set somthing up.

After the sniper competition a fraternity of snipers came together on this forum. There seemed a real camaraderie within this group as they all tend to specialise in one area of the game that seems to call for specialists.

DMZ-Gaming is the burgeoning community dedicated arm of the DMZ (Clan|DMZ being the clan based side of the community) and we offered the sniper community a place to call home; currently it's just a basic forum with web portal but we are looking to add more to it. This community has spread beyond BF2S and some real good spirit is developing within this group with regular events and even maps and mods being developed.

The DMZ are happy to help out where we can with Server time and TS availability as well as continuing the free hosting of the community.

Is there a greater call for such a thing?
I get the impression that the specialist medics around are less likely to want to make use of such a facility but if I'm misjudging then please let me know.

I signed up but I don't use X-Fire. I can d/l it for the match tho. I was wondering if it will be prohibited to use all vehicles/some vehicles as armor could rape infantry if they can't spawn as anti-tank. I don't know if this was already posted i am hungover and only read the first page if it was sorry.

yeah.. the l85 and g36e are the best for long range shooting. The m16 is alright too. The AK is utter tosh compared to those, though. I've practiced a lot with it and have got some techniques for long range shooting but in the end you'll just miss. (real long range shooting, not Hotel-to-square prone fights)

I was fairly convinced this would be over subscribed. That's why there are leaders for each side, they can pick teams.

This is still being sorted out. The 1.3 patch barred unlocks for unranked servers (thanks EA) and so this means that we either have to wait for the next patch (ETA?) or possibly mod to play on unranked with all unlocks.
I don't think it's worth playing without unlocks, not really in the spirit of the challenge.

Without either of those options then we play on a ranked server in the same way we did for the sniper competition, I'll be seeking dispensation for this event as well so the admins can kick with impunity, those who don't 'play by the rules'.

The commander mode is available because it's an aid to a team of troopers, also, I didn't think that it was particularly advantageous to just one side. I have no intention of prohibiting the use of any of the tools (including cartilery) as there will be plenty of far more important things to be administering. Both sides have the same tools, both have the advantage/disadvantage.

The challenge is for teams of snipers and teams of medics. I'm well behind this team play and so am no more inclined to ban commanding a team than I would be to ban squad leaders from the game.
