I like to play sniper. But if I'm commanding and I see a stationary sniper, I have one word: Cartillery.

The best is when the vodnik bonks them on the noggin and both sniper and vodnik go falling off the roof. Oh, the guts I've busted....

I hate snipers as much as I hate tanks, enemy DAOs, claymores and nades.

They're a part of the game, and I have my ways of commbatting them. How? Shoot them with my rifle before they know where I am.

Meh, just depends on what your play style is. Im at 96 hrs for sniper and am gonna be glad to get expert and be done with it. I rather play low/medium ranges with a good old assault rifle. Ive been playing sniper lately to get expert for it and have blatantly rushed a flag alone too many times just to get there and go "oh shit im a sniper" and then promptly get rushed by a DAO-12 and die. If you like staying back and shooting long ranges, sniper is for you, and if not, then choose a diff kit.

Results, I'd say, since the anti-sniper group can't get 20% of the vote, the fact is you guys are a very vocal group, but the fact is you don't make up the majority.

I definitely have no problem with a few good snipers on my team, they have saved my ass more times than I can count. On the other hand there are times when I've seen 10 snipers on a 20 man team which kinda sucks if they are not very mobile.

I enjoy sniping from time to time but usually after I have become bored and need a twist to keep me playing for another round or two.

Bottom line? A good sniper can be invaluable to his team if positioned correctly. A bad sniper is a waste of a perfectly good slot (though this can be said about any kit....)

That's the thing in a nutshell. A couple of good ones are almost always good, too many (particulary weak ones) is always bad.
