No, and no. They do not count. Powerman is like Orgy and Gramercy park: Electroic type rock, not metal.mnmant wrote:

Some new metal is ok, like Trivium.shice wrote:
Most New-Metal bands seriously suck ass! They are like all those boybands with the simple difference that the one side can sing (lol) and the other can (slightly) play some instruments. I dont care about this karma crap though.
Metallica ownz all. "...and justice for all" is probably the best and most complicated (Metallica) album ever and kicks ass!
Every weekend i try further to rape my guitar like Kirk does - never succeeding - but its still fun.
I was wondering why only one single buddy here mentioned Children of Bodom. They rule at playing their instruments, never heard another band (except maybe Dream Theater) rocking the shit outa their guitars 'n drums.
Some more really really good albums besides those already mentioned:
Death - the sound of perseverance
Cannibal Corpse - tomb of the multilated
Children of Bodom - follow the reaper; something wild; hatebreeder...
Megadeth - rust in peace
Overkill - from the underground and below (good opener)
...
I feel I must change my previous vote to Slayer - Sesasons In The Abyss.....Just had a listen and I had forgotten just how awesome that album is. War Ensemble ftw!!KingCheese wrote:
Pantera - Cowboys From Hell, or Slayer - Reign In Blood.....but so many others to choose from. Could probably go on for ever.
This whole thing with Mayhem and Varg Vikernes...tor11 wrote:

Anyways, Death was a very very good choice, the sound of perseverance is an amazing album and the drums/vocals on it are great as well. You can't go wrong with Megadeth either, they have some very good albums like The System Has Failed, but Rust in Peace has many good songs like Hangar 18, gotta love it. Good choices, I'd +1 you but i have no karma left, sorry. Ill get you tomorrow.
