Oh one album is just too less. Well I'll try.
Iron Maiden - Killers, Falconer - Chapters from a Vale Forlorn, Skyforger - Latvian Riflemen,Eluveitie - Spirit (Swiss Pagan Metal 8] ) I can't really decide,

Well let's say Iron Maiden - Killers.

No, and no. They do not count. Powerman is like Orgy and Gramercy park: Electroic type rock, not metal.

SOAD: Good group, borderline metal, more hard rock caliber though.

Most New-Metal bands seriously suck ass! They are like all those boybands with the simple difference that the one side can sing (lol) and the other can (slightly) play some instruments. I dont care about this karma crap though.

Metallica ownz all. "...and justice for all" is probably the best and most complicated (Metallica) album ever and kicks ass!
Every weekend i try further to rape my guitar like Kirk does - never succeeding - but its still fun.

I was wondering why only one single buddy here mentioned Children of Bodom. They rule at playing their instruments, never heard another band (except maybe Dream Theater) rocking the shit outa their guitars 'n drums.

Some more really really good albums besides those already mentioned:

Death - the sound of perseverance
Cannibal Corpse - tomb of the multilated
Children of Bodom - follow the reaper; something wild; hatebreeder...
Megadeth - rust in peace
Overkill - from the underground and below (good opener)
...

Some new metal is ok, like Trivium.
Anyways, Death was a very very good choice, the sound of perseverance is an amazing album and the drums/vocals on it are great as well.  You can't go wrong with Megadeth either, they have some very good albums like The System Has Failed, but Rust in Peace has many good songs like Hangar 18, gotta love it.  Good choices, I'd +1 you but i have no karma left, sorry.  Ill get you tomorrow.

Pantera - Cowboys From Hell, or Slayer - Reign In Blood.....but so many others to choose from.  Could probably go on for ever.
I feel I must change my previous vote to Slayer - Sesasons In The Abyss.....Just had a listen and I had forgotten just how awesome that album is.  War Ensemble ftw!!

You guys should check out a brand new band called Escape the Fate.

You can hear one song (There's No Sympathy for the Dead) here at Epitaph Records:
http://www.epitaph.com/artists/artist/211
Or check them out on myspace or their website.

Just a few months back a couple of them were at a party at my house and mentioned they had just signed with Epitaph.  Jesus since then they have opened a show for My Chemical Romance, released an album and are now playing on the Warped tour.  Lucky little bastards!

Anyhow, tell me what you think.  I'm thinking this band will be huge if they can keep it together.

Yeah too bad Chuck Schuldiner was that ill:( Otherwise they would have made some great songs until now i guess.
Spirit Crusher simply is perfect. Listening to it (while drunk) keeps me banging all the time;)
Not to forget, their copy of painkiller, man what a kickass drum...
I'm now listening to Iced Earth's remake of hollowed by the name (iron maiden) - very nice band too.
Dont worry about that karma stuff, i dont care about it anyways:) But kind of ya anyway.

I'd have to say without question. Slayer, Seasons in the abyss.  Although, I can honestly say i've never heard a Slayer album I didn't like.
