before I got the full bf2 I played the demo for some time, there I mostly played as sniper and got a fairly good at it... but when I got the full game I couldn't really get into it again, mostly just play as medic... my question is, should I start getting into sniping now? or should I wait until I get the L96A1? (I bought sf yesterday) I have picked it up a couple of times and I love it!!
If you like the L96, go for it.
It's never too early to start. The L96A1 rocks.
I first learned to snipe when i got that rifle.. simply love the scope and sound it makes..
But a large part of my sniper kills came from claymores, knifes and pistols..

wow, everyone replies so fast on these forums 0.0 just 2 seconds after I posted, the post had 14 views...
I'll see if I can get the L96 today when I get home, if I get it I will try to get into sniping again
I'm also aiming for expert knife badge today, so I'll see what I do first, L96 or expert knife

if you don't mind your SPM going through the floor, then go for it. I love sniping...and sniping loves me
Medic is fine:)
what's SPM? :S sorry, new to the bf2 community and it's abbreviations... (is that the right word? I can't understand how I got top grade in English -.-)MoonShadow616 wrote:

The M24 as the exact same specs as the L96A1 exept: longer reload time, less bullet drop. I consider myself a very good sniper and I use both the same. So start sniping now and make shure you are always USMC.
SPM is your average Score per minute, if you look at your stats you will see SPM is underlinded, just go with your mouse over it and you can also see what SPM means
Hahaha, this is ridiculous dude! You are afraid to play sniper cause you don't have an unlock!
Snipers can rule with any rifle!
Snipers can rule with any rifle!
Just because you don't have an unlock doesn't mean you cant Snipe, the SVD came in useful to me when I first started Sniping, for the pure reason that it isn't 1 shot, it's 6ish. So should you miss, keep tapping that mouse button Soon, as your accuracy improves, you wont even notice that the SVD has more than 1 shot.
Small observation Kmjnhb - You don't have special forces, so you wont be able to unlock the L96A1..
Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong
EDIT: Sorry, just seen that you say you brought it 'yesterday' my bad.

NO!! I hate those goddamn claymores. Your just walking around and BOOM!! YOUR DEAD
Because the M24 is a gun that only the USMC has.thedoo2 wrote:

You cant, I should have said try and always be... I started a second account to test sniper only stats ( canadianstalian) so when I was not USMC I just changed server.thedoo2 wrote:

teamswitching is for noobs. But neway, your SPM won't go through the floor if you're good enough. My SPM stayed from 1.71 for a while and when I unlocked the L96 it went to 1.72....in a week or too. Fact is, its the kills and your sniper rifle stats that should affect you the most.mporlier wrote:

the L96 makes me hot in my pants...

you're not a good sniper if you're not versatile. It takes more skill to kill with the Typ88 and the SVD to kill with the L96 or the M24mporlier wrote:

Before the L96 I had only 16 hours with sniper...since it has come out, sniper has JUST become my most used kit. Funny how that happens.

I'm done, sniper ftw!
Well I play sniper quite a bit and me personally id rather use the svd over the m24 the svd can still kill in one shot if not 2-3 if you suck but you don't have to reload as much and it takes almost as long to reload a clip as it does to chamber a new bullet in the m24. Svd sucks in long distance because of the arrow thig so if im not using the svd ill use the l961< the perfect rifle. or ill use the m95 if im camping a airbase
I seldom use Clays. I think I'd use them more if there were more than 2.
*EDIT: That doesn't mean I'd Claywhore though, I aactually use Claymores to protect my arse.

you see, usually you know how many snipers are on the other team is you check how your teammates are dieing. Then, you have to spot him and survey the area. You can't go fast anywhere, you have to check everyplace and every corner. If you do find that lucky claymore, you better hope its facing hte other way or else you're screwed.EvilMonkeySlayer wrote:
