My Gaming Experience in the Last Week

Day 1- Play something else don’t want to hassle with BF2 told friend not to buy it cause it’s worthless right now.

Day 2 – Lets brave it.
a)    CTD
b)    CTD
c)    Get-On 5 mins server crashes I load Barbarian Invasion Rome:Total War and play 3 hours no crashes

Day 3 – F*&^ BF2 I’ll play Godfather no crashes 8 hours

Day 4 – BF2 lets try it out
a)    CTD
b)    Get on server ‘hurray’ and it’s a 64 server playing AF 2:30 hours before server crashes meet some cool people.  Best time I have had since new patch 2 ½ hours that embarssing.

Day 5 – BF2 attempt
a)    CTD
b)    CTD
c)    Server crash while I’m waiting for friends to join
d)    CTD
e)    CTD
f)    CTD (the Natural HAT TRICK)
g)    Everyone (all six of us give up and say f EA)

Day 6 – BF2 guys?   Naw thx it’s not worth it. Nobody plays.

Day 7 – Hey guys you in game?  Ya I’ll join
a)    CTD
b)    CTD
c)    Server-crash
d)    No-body rejoins server
e)    New server
f)    CTD
g)    We all get on sorry I gotta go in 10 mins…..
h)    45 mins and we played 5 mins.


I'd like to hit punish for -1 Karma for EA and you too.

I mean, I get a CTD once in a while since 1.3 ... and I get one or two server crashes if I play, say, 3 hours ... but you are really getting hosed.

hey i had the same problem but then i uninstalled and reinstalled and i have not had any CTD or server crashes hope this will help

I understand what you're saying, and to a large degree, I feel the same way.  I think my friends and I are drifting away from BF2.  Not just this patch, but all the problems in general are just a big hassle, and since we're all working adults (all 30ish in age), we don't have the time to fight the issues.

We just want to game for a while to forget the workday.  We still play mind you, it's just maybe once a week now instead of 4-5 nights a week for a couple hours each time.  We've actually only played BF2 once or twice together since 1.3.  We've been playing UT2k4 again, which is very fast and fun after slow load times, crashes, smacktards, etc.  It's been so long since we played it, bots are good enough to let us enjoy ourselves.

I havent stopped playing BF2 since the patch, in fact, im playing it just as much. I dont often CTD at all. The only real problem I get is server crash, but I only encounter that on 1 of my regular servers so its not a big problem.

Just depends on your own computer, the server you're connecting to and how quickly you join the game (I always wait til the HD light stops flashing, then hit ESC, not join game - and it works perfectly 90% of the time)

I CTD 3 times in a row yesterday starting my gaming night out.  Only crashed once while in-game.  Strangely, I consider that a good session.... my how my expectations have lowered!
