I Started Around Mid 2004
BF1942 was WAY ahead of its time, 64 people on one battlefield, and any vechile usable, that blew me away also
BF1942, Omaha beach baby!
I started on the demo of 1942 the first day it came out.
i perfered pacific games over europe they were more balanced and had more fun air battles. but africa was right up there with good maps, REMAKE EL AMMIEN!!
BF2 was my first real online shooter. i used to be a console guy.
BF1942 the day it was available.Midway and Omaha beach all the way.
1942, the day it came out, then DC the rest of the time
I played BF1942 at internet cafes once and a while (my computer couldn't of handled the game) I started playing Vietnam because I got a new PC then...
midway was fun, it was so hard to get a plane of the ground, in the island
Hey me to. Yup used to have an Xbox until I found ut about BF2|CoR| Majik_Kracker wrote:

i just went into the store one day and saw 1942 sitting there on the shelf... and it called to me. In my opinion it is one of the most revolutionary multiplayer games ever. I learned to play online with a dial up connection because the game was so addicting... although extremely laggy. I think I picked it up a week after it came out, but i could be mistaken.
Ahh, the memories of BF1942. The suicide run from the beachhead up to the fortified German bunkers on Omaha Beach...the chaotic streets of a razed Berlin...grenade spammers chucking potato mashers from gutted buildings on Stalingrad...
Not sure when I started...I know I had it before Road to Rome and Secret Weapons though. Back then I was in the [FU] clan (which doesn't stand for anything particularly original, lol). Damn good times when I actually had faith in EA. Then Road to Rome was released, starting a looooong and ultimately disappointing trend of milking a once-majestic franchise into commercialized oblivion.

the first time I played it was unbelieveable. And though it shames me to admit it, I played it for over 12 hours straight. (never again tho)
the SW demo was awesome too. I pwned all lost souls

I started with 1942 and started playing Jan 2005.
I miss it. those glorious days are over....
Battlefield 2. My old computer was just below the 1942 requirements. Does anyone still play the original, or is it all mods now? It only costs £7 for the basic and about £15 for all Xpacks.
