Recently I started a Poll to see how many Service Member we have in this forum.
But I got curious again. Not every Soldier/Sailor is a Volunteer.

So I like to ask all future Conscripts and Volunteers, what is your favorite Service Branch you'd like to serve in?

I, for example, chose the Navy because I like everything maritime and I wanted to see the World.

I Joined the US Navy 12 Years ago. I chose the Navy first and foremost because of the education opportunities and the travel. It is also probably the closest branch of the military most like a civilian job and less like boot camp was.

There nothing the Air Force offers the Navy doesn't have and then some! Same goes for all the branches really. (This applies to those chasing technical experience).

to cyborg_ninja-117 - SAS - Special Air Service also there is the SBS - Special Boat Service. The SAS is attached to the Army as a regiment, The SBS is attached to the Navy as a regiment, As far as I am aware the RAF don't have a specialised unit.

Could be wrong though - I have been advised by my Military Advisor Joker3327 sat to my left.

Air Force... cuz once the service is over you will always have a job as a commercial airline pilot which pays bigger bucks than most shit a standard grunt can do in the civilian world.

I'd would go to ADFA when I get out of high school. I would then end up with a degree and be an officer in the RAAF (at only early 20's in age). After my 14.5 years of compulsary service (for pilot training) are up, I would become a commercial pilot with QANTAS...

Or I could just fly for QANTAS in the first place.

Strangely that's what my uncle did. Retired at 55 on a full pension too.

However, I'd be tempted to go for Royal Logistics Corps. Go to the same places as the Army, same money, same shit but you don't get shot at. I know it sounds weak but the whole "getting shot at" rush would wear thin after a while.
