I use a 19" moniter and I think I'd regret it if I had gone smaller. Totaly worth the money if you ask me.

19" is a nice upgrade from a 17" CRT.  I was gaping at the awesome size, but I placed it a little farther back to prevent premature cross-eye-zation and I'm used to it now.  Very nice.

I have a 21" wide screen LCD an I could NEVER go back to a full screen...

*On-Topic*
I'd go for the 19", just make sure to compare the response time for each. (Lower = Better)

where are you getting a 1400x1200 resolution?  Those aren't even proportional.

I assume you mean 1280x1024...

One you get used to wide screen, full screen just looks cramped. (Just like movies.)

I have three computers in my lan room.
1.17inch monitor
2.17inch monitor
3. 19 inch monitor

I played on the 19 inch for ever and then switched to the 17inch and I like it.

Nice moniter!  By it from ZipZoomfly.com, though, you can get it for $339.99 with free shipping.
Plus you can mail in the $50 rebate to make it $289.

I saw it mentioned once previously, but response time in the monitor is of relative importance.  For a good screen, I wouldn't recommend anything over 8ms.

That being said, 19"

For ultimate gameplay, i'd recommend a 17" (Nothing smaller) and nothing bigger then an 8ms response time
