when i first started playing battlefield 2....i forgave every tk that happened to me and most of the time i was forgiven for a tk.
i did not get into the punishing thingy...but after a while it started to get worse. i get tk'd at least 3-4 times in a round then 6-7 and then 10+. i started to loose my patience but since december i was being tk'd by the same people in the same servers especially by the admns.
With all the stupidity that goes on,, why should i castrate myself because of some moron. This game got way too many 13 year old pussies who think they can run and gun and not pay attention to what is going on.
My view on tk's as of right now: PUNISH THEM ALL AT ALL COSTS.
i no longer forgive tk's even the simple ones. and i have one of the lowest tk's in the game. some people got 20tk's per round.
bottom line, you screw up my professionalism.....you have to pay the piper bigtime..

I only punish if it's undeniably intentional (i.e. knife to the teeth). I just run around with the paddles out all round anyways so I tend to get TKed a ton by friendly grenades lobbed at the enemies I am stalking.
Only if I am sniping and somebody comes up and knifes me do I punish, even if they run up guns blazing. It's called the red tag bug, and sometimes I know it can be the case. I've "tked" people who were red to me, so I know how hard it is.

I have a method on punishing. If it is entirely my fault I will forgive. If it is their fault, but not on purpose and they say sorry i will forgive. If its their fault and they do not say sorry, I will punish.
i punish a 2nd time if its intentional, like this stupid n00b clan member who kept tk'ing me in a chopper he ended up with a score of -130

I think the worst thing that hapnned to me was in Karkand. I was Support and I'm shooting at a guy then I get the kill and a punished team kill. Then I get kicked for Team Killing. Behind the guy I was shooting was an aluminum fence, so at the same time any bullets thta didn't hit the guy went through the fence and killed my team mate. It was on my fav server too.
I only punish when it's intentional or i'm in a fire fight and I die because of a team mate trying to use me as a shield and trying to shoot throught me. >_>

I punish everyone no matter the situation, unless they are my clan mates or i know them ... i know i'm an evil guy but then again its the same with anybody else... i wait 5 seconds fro them to say sorry if they dont ... PAGE DOWN !!!!!
I try not to punish but the buttons...(sorry for anyone I ever punished!)
when i'm just amazed that i was TKed, mostly green pilots that don't know any better. i was capping a flag with a UAV above me that was clear and the flag went neutral... then i hear a jet overhead and a bomb coming right at me. i didn't have time to look at the radar but i figured that it was an enemy jet. nope, it was a friendly.
I punish for intentional TK's and for really dumb mistakes, like unloading a whole clip on me before even looking to see which side I'm on. I wish you could punish medics for reviving you 1s before you re-spawn and you get shot again before having a chance to stand up.

I remeber i was in Wake recapping Airfield as PLA. I was typing so i was looking at the USMC behind me running to knife me. In my screen, i see a medic with the G36E. Then i saw him pull a nade and right clicked. I thought WTF, tk, but i also noticed he got a kill. Curious, i asked why he used the nade instead of the gun. He shouted at me for being a n00b and not running away from the nade. Then he goes pulls his paddles, then tbags me. The T-bag wasnt the problem, but revive me!!! And use the gun instead of the nade.

whenever people spam this forum with boring/idiotic polls....
getting bombed by an incompetent pilot as you are capturing a flag is #1 on my list of hated things in Bf2. Pilots already piss me off when the fly in circles around a map when all falgs are taken, and when one of them bombs me (EVEN with no enemy presence), i get really, really, pissed. Page Down!

The way things are going, no matter if it was clearly an accident, I still punish, unless playing with friends in in a good squad. FLAME me all you want, but before you do, what would any other player do if you said sorry a million times over the commorose? I think tk punish is stupid personally, they should have a -2 for the tk, but no punish. I mean honesty, what incentive do you have if you forgive somebody you have never met in an online game? At least if you punish, then you tell the person to be more careful. (The only time I don't punsih, is if I walk in front of a ank, which I seem really good at now). Or if a dude is shooting at someone and I walk in front like a spastic.
I do not punish for any TK whatsoever. Hey, sh*t happens in this game in the heat of cyber battle. Even in maps where there is some dweeb intentionally TK'ing to get a vehicle or just because they are acting like a Jack Ass. I hate playing in servers where everyone is constantly punishing for TK's. It is demoralizing and counter productive to the team.

Most of the time I sigh and forgive them, because I know how shit it is when you reverse into somebody or a bomb goes astray etc.
i cant believe some of the dumb things ive been punished for, its like some people cant play the game, so they have to ruin it for other people? if u get in the bomber with me - then jump out on takeoff, its not my fault u got hit by the wing.. but go on - punish me.. if ive got a vehicle you want - why not force me to kill you - or just force me to wait for u to get out the way - just enough time for a baseraping jet to pick me off..
i mean yeh, some times a bomb will hit get a tk, but usually cos u think theres a tank raping your flag, 1 tk out of about 50 isnt bad
annoying tho, when some1 hits you, or flys a chopper in front of you or something like that, it was their fault but u get the team kills and have to appologise for their mistake

i always wait for an apology and punish accordingly, but only out of courtesy as they still get -4 whichever way i punish. Arseholes who tk for vehicles, on the other hand, are hunted down and killed until i get kicked off the server. Fucking pricks, there is nothing more lame then tk for vehicles.
