Well, im curious. Do you think the game has become better OR worse since it was released about a year ago? Have the patches given us more good than bad? Are the new features something we love/hate?

Everything was good except the nerfing. If you think about it, they've gone through and screwed wtih damages and or acc. on almost everything but a tank since 1.0, and I wish they would have left that stuff alone.
Apart from bunnyhopping there was f all wrong with 1.0. Come to think of it most people hop around like idiots anyway so yeah, gimme back 1.0
The patches generally suck, they introduce more bugs/instability, nerf choppers, nerf squads, add stupud pointless crap like vehicle drops etc.
If you ask from me i think 1.12 was the best patch.
And oh yea, i didnt tell what i think. If you ask me, its been straight freefall since 1.12 or so. The first patches made a few nice thingies like eliminating the worst chopper whoring on mashtuur but still had some bugs on 'em.
Mostly good has come. Im happy with the patches (once u get them to work) with 1.3 my game would crash on join game. i ended up having to patch down to 1.2 and install 1.3 full. While it was a pain in the ass, it did fix the problem. I like the features and new stuff they add. So id say overall it's good. The only beef i have with the game isn't from EA or Dice but with what some of the lowlife players do. Tk'ing for vehicles is getting rediculous, force punish/punish system are a little weird. something needs to be done in the next patch.
When I first got BF2 I played 1.12. I didn't know what was before that, but 1.12 ran well, it was overall a gret experience and the only thing to bitch about (if you're not a whining noob anyways) was the red blue bug.

I too got BF2 in the time of the 1.12 patch, and I loved it! Best patch for the game as far as im concerned.
I didnt give a frig about red/blue, pissed me off when the enemy got blue, but that only happened once, as for red, it happened a few times, but after the first I learn not to shoot them if they have the same uni!

i like the new patch, only thing i dont like is that our servers keep crashing every 3 or so games...
Generally i think they have improved the experience. But the patch before the nerfed the n00b tube was the best for me.
1.12 was the best... Since 1.2 the game is for the whiny n00bs....

as i voted, mostly good but a few mistakes, really wish they hadn't nerfed the BH, it was great, but vehicle drops help. when idiot commanders arnt droping them directly on you or the ememy snipers/tanks.
I still love playing the game, take the good with the bad, mix together and beat head against wall then play while drinking beer, makes the game a lot better even great

i got bf2 around the 1.03 patch and i liked it then. the only thing i think i liked with the new patches was the increase of the AA. cause before you couldnt hit a chopper hovering right in front of you with that. other then that, the other changes i could do without but oh well, what can you do.
yeah 1.03 patch was the best one, 1.12 balanced it out a bit more. 1.3 Fucked up the game big time for me, lost a lot of performance

Personally, nothin was wrong with 1.22, vehicle drops is basically useless, and anti-squad hopping is too.
So, 1.22 was the best version for me...mainly because I bought the game when it was 1.03 and didnt really get into it until 1.2ish.
