Well I just saw it. Ddin't follow the comic books, but a fun movie to see nonetheless.
They leave it open for part 4 so don't go expecting complete closure.

Did you go to see the first two? If they got ya excited then pay. If you go to see how they portrayed the characters, go matinee. If you are a super-diehard-wtf-they-didn't-go-by-the-book fan, go dvd.

Personally I liked it. It has it's fair share of twists and action. And the Juggernaught line was fantastic. The theater I was in became a raucous joining of laughter.

To me it was worth the price of admission.

Also, this was like Episode III all over again. I could not find a parking spot anywhere and.

not true...my local library gets most movies as soon as they come out on DVD. so i can check them out for a week upon release for free.

Well, i personally think it was horrible, because they made some really bad things happen, such as
1 killing proffessor x
2 killing cyclops
3 killing phoenix
4 taking magnetos powers
5 taking rougues powers
and even worse than that, in the next one they are gonna undo all of them probably
1 X is revived in a new body
2 Gene died once, that didnt stop her
3 we never actually get scotts death proved, they just couldnt find him
4 he starts to get it back at the end
5 if magneto will, she will
so this was just 100 minutes of special effects. sorry for the spoilers, but i did warn you

X-Men rules, i grew up with the comics, cartoon, and action figures so im looking forward to seeing it. I was skeptical about the first movie that came out considering i grew up with them, and i didnt want to see a movie screw up the X-Men. But the first 2 were good, so hoping the third is good. Thanks for posting a review, I just noticed yesterday that the movie was playing at the theater here in town.

Im not so worried about the following of the comic books, its a good series so far, noone will be able to portray the comic book 100%....it was too much involved to make within a series of a few movies.

Thats pretty awesome, atleast that way they can portray more of the original stories without compacting it all into the X-Men series

They had a very old clip of some voice overs of one of teh last episodes of the x-men. The line about the juggernaut cam from that. It's funny as hell. He says its through the whole clip check it out on u tube.
