I join the Black Ops server with my helo pilot and we are doing alright. I notice then that there is a strange rank in our game:

Just because they're a 4 star general doesnt mean that they are godlike in this game. Trust me they are not team players and do very limited tasks to get those ranks. Not one of the 4 star generals have a war college ribbon and it would be impossible to get since they're not team players and dont really focus on winning but more badge objectives than anything. I've ran into Max_Power myself!

However I wasn't really impressed.

Not just the WCR either, some of the top 10 don't even have expert knife/pistol. They just medic whore for points.

^^ I agree it either means you are lucky and are always on the winning team or you switch your team at the end to try to get a good W/L ratio

total score is not a good indicator of player quality in any respect, it just means you have too much time. The first thing i look at to see if someone has 'good' stats is their K/D ratio and their SPM. AFter that you look for any 1 dimensional traits (IE: plane/armor/chopper 'whoring') *i use 'whoring for lack of a better word, but when you have 100k points, and more than 50% of those come from any one skill, i consider that to be one dimensional.

What i pride myself on is a decent SPM/KD ratio that i continue to raise, and the fact that not more than 20% of my points come from any single aspect of game play. When i get too much armor, ill get better at something else, same for jet/chopper or whatever

I know what you mean. I'm trying to be pretty rounded in my BF2ness. I just have a certain love for the chopper...

I can do almost anything in BF2, just none of it more than decent. I am average at everything and great at nothing. I am a Jack-off of all Trades.

SPM yes, K/D ratio not so much. Having a high K/D ratio (above 2) means you just use vehicles, not that u are uber leet. Below 1.5 for a general though, that would be a clear indication that they are kinda sucky

wow, what a vehicle whore. 1400~ of his 2100~ hours have been in vehicles and 86% of his kills are from vehicles also.
That is lot of time to spend raping spawns with tanks, jets and heli's.

spm depends on what kind of servers you play on,,if you play on 16 player on 64 maps, there is no way youll get a good spm

You can take their KDR into account, if you look at their infantry stats. It's way more worth to have thousands of Rifle kills with a good KDR, then lamed your way to the top with a vehicle that doesn't need skill (armor the best example).

I might disagree with you on that one. I play alot on a Special Forces 20 player 64 maps server. And i see people with some pretty decent SPM's. Although Vanilla's maps are alot bigger so scores are far and few between for the average player.
