I'd use the Search on Windows to see where you may have downloaded the patch, make sure it didn't get stuck in some 30th level Temp Directory, then go for broke. It should be installed in YOUR DRIVE LETTER:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2. But the patch sets itself up without much user input. So wherever it is click and install.
Hot Tip: Get Firefox. Has a handy, unobtrusive download manager that keeps everything in one nice folder and you won't lose things. Take it from a guy who'd forget his head if it wasn't screwed on.

You have 1.21? You do not need full, just use incremental version. Run it, it is self-extracting.

If u patched BF2 with 1,21 and then installed SF u need to patch after the SF install with eiter patch 1,21 and the incremental 1,22 patch or the full 1,22 patch.
