Thanks for the sig quote spawnofthemist that does seem funny now that I read it (And now for a Claymore review from my experiences. Nothing new for the veterans out here)I've really been enjoying the claymores with the new server side Friendly Fire turned off. Before it was a TK problem trying to figure were your teammates won't be tripping them off.
The trick is to not place where Artillery will blow the Clays' up like near a flag area. Quite a few spawn points are inside buildings/shacks those are good claymore spots. I think my fav is sneaking onto the enemy airfield and putting them next to planes and helis or tanks, APC's etc. You can also ruin a Spec Ops day by Clay'n your teams assets or Clay' the enemy's assets on a already destroyed asset enemy Engineers will get a surprise when they go to repair. Also popular AA turrets, and TOW turrets are good.
If also gotten a few kills by placing clays' in high armour traffic corriders. Just place clays on top of a rock ledge, wall etc and it will det' high enough to take out any gunner on the top turrets of tanks or jeeps. transports etc. And also of course any regular infantry will be killed too.
And of course the high traffic hallways, alleys, bridges are all good ways to get a "set and forget" kill. It's really a evil grin moment when you are on the other side of the map so far away you can't hear the Clay' go off but you know that some unfortunate soul just went "Aw shit gawwdam claymore!" and you see the...
you killed "insert claymore'd person(s) here"That's good stuff kinda like when the UPS guy finally drops off your package you've been waiting for...
And it only happens on a good squad but sometimes i'll go as support kit and follow a sniper act as his 6 o'clock guard and keep him supplied with ammo and spotting any threats he might not see the trick is of course remain as stealthy as him not letting rip with your LMG unless you have to.
I've had really sweet ammo resupply games with just following a sniper around and maybe just getting a few kills myself but getting a lot of teamwork points.
