Todd_Angelo I though you were playing as well, my apologies.  But the facts remain:  1.Sniper sucks, screens like you have happen once in a while, not every game.  2. He could have joined a squad, ANY other squad and not received an order.  You aren't supposed to follow what you read to the dot, surrender your squad to someone else or join one.  Use your brains people.  What business does a solo sniper have using one of your precious squad slots for anyways?  I will give you the benefit of the doubt on the last one, because sometimes no squads are filled.  But please, this isn't rocket science.

I remember this incodent quite well....

At the time USMC was in possesion of the MEC factory the suburbs the square the train accident and cement factory.

90% of the server was fighting at the facotry.

The hotel was undifended so I asked the nearest squad to the hotel ( I dont care what class he is ive seen snipers attack flags before his problem not mine ) to move in on it and was promptly given the no way man several times.

This silly little sniper noob was content to sit in the uncap by the TOW waiting for somebody to snipe at although there were no enemies within 750 metres of him.

Trying to motivate i gave him the you have your orders soldier message and was rewarded with STFU via in game text

Attempting to shift this stupid sniper noob in the right direction, I tried to get him moving by dropping a supply crate on his head.......    he ran all of 2 meters to the left

A prompt artillary strike was enough to get him running in the correct direction though.

"Next time try following my orders, My grandmother could do better."

P.S. I know i was wasting commander resources but we were wining the round by 100 tickets so it wasnt going to matter.

My head hurts....  Anyone want some cheese for all this WHINE  god damn just play the freaking game not like you are going to get a dishonorable discharge if you don't do as you are told.  All classes have their uses, what burns me is a damn commander that runs the hell around trying to cap flags and does NOTHING to help the people asking for supplies, UAV, Arty etc those are the fools that need to be kicked in the ass.  So what he blew up your brother who cares, sniff sniff...  Get over it   Don't you have something a little more constructive to do lik e getting your brother his knife badge or something.  You will never play a round in this game with out wanting to strangle a team mate or an opponent there are way too many fucktards in this game to worry about someone in the top 10 blowing up your brother, he could have at least attempted to move towards a flag to help out the team hell I would have run there nekkid with a cold hot dog as a weapon just because thats the whole point of the game kill and cap flags and defend the ones you have until your opponents tickets reach zero   Fun aint it..

The people sticking up for loki are the fucktards here imho and they are only doing it to look good in his eyes because he is one of the top RANKED players in the world (doesnt make him one of the BEST players in the world though ).Spunking a arty to teamkill somebody is shit when if all he wants is the glory/points he should have been helping out the rest of the team first.

Inc|Loki wanted them to attack because it is easy to take the hotel as snipers (claymores by entrance to the flag capping sone)
he also knew that it is not impossible totake a flag no-one is defendig

the other guy tried camping/defendig but no-one was attacking there so he told the commander (Inc|Loki) to stfu

Wow... I can't believe the arrogance of people like Inc|Loki.  It is a freaking game.  The n00b has the right to play like he wants, camp to his heart's content, and get a low as score as possible.  There is a nice way to command and an arrogant asshat's way.  Loki chose the asshat way.  Send the guy a team message telling him there is no one around and he can move up to help improve his chances of sniping someone.  If he ignores it, leave him alone.  You can command the positive way or the negative way.  For christ's sake, some of the people playing are total n00bs, little kids (you think my 7yr old and 10 yr old are going to read some damn message!), or just having fun killing time between beers.  It is a public server, not a clan scrim or ladder.  Expect people to play selfishly on a public server and treat them appropriately.  If it was a scrim or ladder challenge it would have been appropriate to nail them, but it wasn't.  Loki should apologize for being an arrogant little teenager who thinks being a commander in a dam video game makes him special.  Grow up and learn some tolerance.  Nasty_Butler is a prick who tk'ed me out of a heli 3 times then sent me a private message here saying he now realized he was wrong and doesn't tk anymore.  Loki needs to grow up like Butler and let people play for fun and not be a bully.  If he can't laugh when someone types STFU to him then he needs to take a break from the GAME because he is not having fun.  I just laugh it off when I have my moments and turn into a 1 man army, kill a ton of guys, then get called a hack and every swear word in the book tossed my way.  I don't respond back like a juvi.  When I get tk'd, unless it was Nasty_Butler on purpose for a vehicle, I just take a deep breath, realize I was a n00b once too, and keep going.

Thank you. Should have thanked you last night but I was overdue logging off and just wanted to respond to Loki's post. Rereading my starting post I didn't describe things as clearly as I might have so I can see it would be easy to read it how you did. I meant he was practicing so that we could play as a three-man sniper squad in future.

Granted (for me at least) but snipers don't suck, only bad snipers suck. That's why I practice: 53% accuracy, 1.7 K/D ratio and SPM 1.6, and climbing.

You mean in addition to the other 20 other guys already swarming down the slopes toward Hotel and the two APCs and the tank? Besides, taking the heads off the enemy (or cutting their health down to half) the moment they respawn in the alleys to the west of the main road directly contributes to being able to take the hotel.

I don't think it was clear:
the round has just started; it was less than one minute in when the order first arrived, he hadn't even reached position on the west slope;
by the time he was artied (didn't kill him by the way, it was judged a little off and landed mostly behind him, who knows if it killed some other unsuspecting soul) I guess it was maybe five minutes into the game;
I checked last night to be sure, the range to the flag he was ordered to take is ~480m. Yeah lemme get right on that boss... how long does it take to leg it that far in the game anyway?

You think that's bad Todd, try having an asshat for a commander screaming at you over VOIP. I had to listen to this guy yelling and cursing at some other squad to follow his orders or he would drop arty on them. I told him he was distracting the rest of us with all of his yelling and then he threatens to drop arty on me. I had enough of that in the military. I'm not about to take that crap from some uptight loser on video game. Just ignore them or change servers or better yet, come play with us.

For Christ's sake Loki if you wanted the flag that bad, hop your ass in a humvee and go take it if it's that wide open and free from enemies. With 100 ticket lead and tactical position in the rear, who gives a rat's ass about the Hotel.
