I love Google Earth but they need to update their images soon. It keeps telling me that this major highway near my house hasn't been built yet.

i actually use it with this other proggie called 'sketchup' for work related stuff. It allows you to place 3d models n stuff inside google earth for other peple to see or for all kinds of crap.
pretty sweet tho i hear what kimmy was saying about the updating of images. MS Live local or whatever it is has some newer ones.

some pictures are very new. My neighbor built a huge awning over his entire back yard and it showed up in under a month... of course my friend's house in brentwood that was built 2 years ago was not there last time I checked.Naughty_Om wrote:

For a free service, Google Earth is pretty impressive. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth *winces at overused phrasology*.

I use it. Isn't it scary....they are watching us. Don't go sun bathing in your backyard naked. Or skinny dip in your pool. Wouldn't it be crazy if they could zoom in close enough to see your buttocks in decent enough detail? I was amazed when I first saw the top view of my house and my car in the driveway.
i just dl it. thats kewl like 10 mins of straight fun then just gets kinda boring
google earth is so fun to use..i have no use for it at all but its just fun
local.live.com is better. It is MS version of Google Maps, and it is for the most part up to date. I think that they may get their image scans from the same company but I am not for sure. The Bird's Eye view on local.live.com is way better then Google Map's satilite view, imho.
I do. found my old house in darwin on it. Also found a few 'carriers too (hard to find until u spot 1 - then they stick out like dogs' balls)
