I logged on special forces and there was about 184 servers with my filters that I have on. Did no one buy this game or can they just not get it to work?

I think the SF phase is over
lots of people own it... was popular for a while... most people play vanilla now. it was expensive... its a good game but people live vanilla. plus. the unlocks..
i pretty much only play sf and occasionally ef ... personally i dont think its a phase i think its a prefrence
I think so too, I don't really play it any more. Mostly I couldn't find a game with decent ping anyway, AND thanks to the security shit that EA and DICE like so much, it kept telling me to buy the real version, (It was the real version you pieces of shit!)
I wonder if they'll do another Expansion. Probably not I guess with the introduction of Battlefield Vietnam, oh sorry, I mean Battlefield 2142. I wonder if that'll have a ranking system? I hope so, but I hope it's not as thorough as BF2.

BF2142 is having a ranking system like BF2, awards too. Back on topic, SF also really isn't played because of the load times.
yea.... load times... lift weights makes it go faster
you should try all seeing eye and just sort by maps and youll have no trouble looking for a special forces map to play on with low ping empty slots +usually whatever map you feel like playing

i dont play sf because i prefer vanilla, its just the way it is for me. i would like to think that one day i would get into sf but for the moment its vanilla.
I play it once in a while. I wish they made it so you don't have to relogin if you want to go from BF2:sf to BF2 and vice verca. I'd play it more if it were like that. It's just hard to find stable servers.
special forces with grapples + ziplines + tear gas + nightvision + infantry centric offers a more complex infantry based combat with only a few map exceptions and it confuses me how the karkand / sharqi scumbags didnt flock to
i know its takes some adapting to but in my case at least i thought it was much more fun.. plus all these crybabies who whined about planes should have loved it
*edit all you have to do to go from vanilla to sf is goto comunity then mods and select sf activate and youre done ..from then on it connects to all sf maps the same as vanilla would.. just look for the green 2 or sort the maps and youll have no problems

yah i agree with you there, they should include sf maps in vanilla map rotation.
its plain and simple. SF is more for infantry combat. so all those people who loves their tanks and helos have a harder time getting their 40/2 kill death ratio. and since half the bf2 community will tk for planes, they're not gonna play SF cause there is no planes.
also it could be the fact to that alot of peoples comp simply cant handle SF. they can run bf2 on high or med but shudder to think what SF would look like on low. i dont blame em. time to upgrade people

I like both of them. They both offer different things. I get tired of vanilla, play SF and vice versa...

I play it quite a bit still, but i only see a couple of servers with a populated list, and most of them are around 24 people.
I like SF because it lets you work closer in squads as well as tactical warfare as opposed to reg bf2.

Am leaning against SF atm, i like the maps better and have warlord as my most played map all in all, also have EF but haven`t played it much yet !
And i dont have any problem finding servers to play in either, some of the nightmaps are rare but the daymaps have planty of servers - cant remember xtra loadingtime being a problem - only if u switch between SF and Vanilla maps or back.

i paid $30 for some unlocks, that's it. i've played my share of SF, but it didn't hold my attention. didn't notice load time issues. i laugh when i hear people talk about infantry combat. if you wanna call unreal tournament style jumping, nade spamming and general asshatterty infantry combat, go ahead. tried the choppers, terrible comtrols, stuttering frame rates. iron gator was a joke. my comp is "upgraded" and most maps were a slideshow, even after turning my specs down. it was just a poorly executed money making scheme. and the fact that you have to reload the entire game to switch between vanilla and SF is unacceptable. when i reinstalled my operating system i didn't even bother reinstalling SF.
i really enjoy playing the SF maps except iron gator since its much easier to shoot down helicopter you spend most the the time waiting for MEC to capture a flag so you can finally start fighting... now that i have all the vanilla vetern badges i have been playing SF a lot more trying to get the veteren badges there too rather than trying to clock up 100 hours to attempt expert
SF was more of a temp. trend. And I still like it, I still think Warlord rocks more than Strike At Karkand!
