I've gotten the gold at Karkand as a sniper on foot in 64 person servers with 64 people in them many a'time. I think the more accurate proclaimation is "the team with the least medics will lose."
i dont see any top player beeing sniper... i mean actually using the sniper kit, not just using it as comander wear. ANyway dont give me the point whore speach.. actually having many points per round its the biggest help you can give to your team (because of ticket ratio).

how can u you remove the sniper kit....personally, i think the sniper kit is one of the most helpful... the more kills your team gets and the less deaths, the faster their tickets drop....snipers should be used in moderation but not taken away

to go along with removing the sniper kit lets take away the support kit because the PKM is too powerful and while were at it. lets take away ARTY cuz commanders kill to many people with it...

ok, when I got pissed by a negative K/D ratio in a round I go as a sniper thinking: "nobody can see me, I cant get hurt". and to my mind thats the reason why 99% of the people choose this kit VERY often. not to "help" the team. all a sniper can do is kill people from a distance. that's what a medic also can do. and an assault. and an AT, and a spec ops.. but a medic has an ADDITIONAL function. and an engineer. and an spec ops. and a support. but now the best: who is in flag range to TAKE flags? a sniper? no. he has his tent in the woods and looks how others take a flag. my experience, no offence against sniper only players.

But that's quite normal,everybody likes to be a stealthy sniper who easily kills with one shot,but most of them realize after a few rounds that it is an artform of itself and go back to their full-auto rifles.
If your time stats with the sniper superceed all other time stats (kits+vehicles) you can call yourself a "real" full-time sniper,everybody else is just testing the rifle every now and then but don't have enough patience for the sniping game.

I don't think that's entirely accurate. I snipe quite frequently, and with a some ammo packs I can defend a flag against a whole squad single handedly as a sniper.
