i think the jeep drop is pretty cool, but seems a quite easy way to clog up the enemy airstrip, so would tend to be unfair to teams without vertical takeoff

i actually think the squad hopping change is good, i dont think they ever intended on people being able to  hop like they do, although i do agree that the change should come with another component: making the next member automatically become leader when the leader dies, then no one new could join the squad but the original members would be able to keep their presence, perhaps it could just be an option set by the person who created the squad...this way the squad would still function until all its members are dead at the same time, would make for some really great fire fights whne two squads meet...i aknowledge there are problems with the idea though too

but i just like the idea of a squad performing as a unit, instead of what we have now which is a few guys acting as spawn points for a bunch of lone wolfs that only want to spawn on you if you are already taking a flag

Even on servers that a regular non-noobish crew they still don't join squads that are next to flags. On these servers once you find a squad that is actually a decent squad you tend to stick with it regardless of who else is standing next to a flag or what have you. I myself usually squad hop quite a bit on servers where the squads don't seem to have a clue. Just so I can spawn closer to an objective I find is most important at the time. Of course if I'm squad leader I just go there and ask my squad to always spawn on me.

The inability to switch squad leaders in a squad to hop to a squad member that is still alive will hurt alot of clans who play. They are very used to using this tactic to maintain a spawn point that near an objective. Honestly I do the same thing all the time when I am playing with a friend in a Squad of 2. But this also means that the Squad Leader has to place "staying safe" higher up on the totem pole of objectives which also means a good squad leader will get less points. This discussion has come and gone multiple times now and still holds true. Until they give the Squad Leader a fraction of the points gained from his squad, just like the commander gets from his team, then the Squad Leader will always suffer when it comes to points. I usually get about 50-60% of my normally gotten points when I am SL. It's just a fact of life for the SL most of the time.

For those of you that said I was wrong then so be it...
