i think that all EA should worry about is to stray away from their "Racing game" style of games and focus on War when making a war game. when i play bf2 and run in with infantry, i dont get a feel of being in combat, and in a jet i feel like just doing stunts or messing around. EA's newest BF is coming out, it looks like a HALO version of the BattleField series, and i am pretty sure they have taken in little to no suggestions from these forums, i would not be suprised if they just turn out another BF2 with new vehicles weapons and skins.
My earlier post was just one concept to my "Greater Idea" of what the BattleField games could be. I suggested the use of AI because there simply would not be that many people that would want to stay back behind the lines all game and refuel, repair, and send out troops. Squad Commanders would have a special radio tree (not the flower, it takes up too much room. i prefer the bf vietnam style with the Number system of radio, it allows the player to keep moving while choosing what they want to radio in.) and call in the AI or a designated player that will bring up vehicles or infantry or whatever.
this will also call for a greater understanding of the US Army's system and how all the vehicles work and what they are used for. (and Payloads should be revived, we need to be able to bring up jeeps over water or supplies to distant troops) The supply drop should also be an option to pilots or paratroopers etc...
I am working on a Filming Community, which i hope will branch out and join Modders together aswell. The website is www.x-squad.us
