2000 points but still at Lance Corporal. However, the bar is a little over halfway full, so I would guesstimate that Corporal would be at around 5000.

Oh come on thats ridiculous. 1800 and a corporal!!. Now im not saying that the ranking system does not need adjusting (i think it does personally) but 1800 pts for cpl, come on. If ea forget to add support for people with more points to get their new weapons i may have a homocidal fit

If you notice, it's Tom IGN logged in... and he's comparing his stats to Fatty IGN./.. I'm guessing FAtty doesn't have the patch, and tom does, therefore Tom went up ranks and Fatty didn't.

I think it's pretty fair up to sergeant. btu after that it gets a little steap... but I think it's mostly okay. Unless they add more unlocks and more ranks.

theres no way everyone will be 100% with the new ranks, im just came excepting it. i read the other night that maybe lower rank scores will stop score whores and make ppl play the game for fun. im all for that (if it helps at all)

Im in agreement with you both. While I think that yes, it does rise a little too steeply after Sergeant, really the system is fine as it is. I think were going to have a lot of angry people who are around the top spot. However, what I really want to know is how the rewards have changed.

maybe they give us unlocks easily because they will add new weapons unlocks, like handguns, rocketlauncher or a personnal Stinger (somebody had this idea on this forum).
or maybe, if everyone can have all unlocks with 50.000pts, this will reduce farming and padding ...

i mean it only took me a month to get where i am now, and if the new patch has rankings as we expect or were shown, i could be the top rank in a month. This really kills the long term factor of the game

i think we will see these days but if EA and Dicereally made the ranks that easy they didnt get it right again.
imho the ranks were a bit far apart and could have used a small tweaking but only like max -20%, e.g. LCPL at 8000 and CPL at 16000 and so on.
but LCPL at 2000 is quite a joke cause the real addicted players get that amount in 1 day and i get nearly a 1000 points on a good day and still 300-500 on normal days.
with this we will have masses of n00bs with M95´s and DAO´s running around,
sure it can make stat padding less desireable cause i remember 1 guy on the tracker forum who had his account reseted and he said "how else should i reach those ranks than with stat padding".
its just a question between better gameplay and longtime motivation.

i will still be happy when i get SRGT with the new patch but on the other hand i also was looking forward to achieve it

hmmm...dumb, yeah i guess they want us to move on to spec forces expansion. But because of this bull shit they're pulling with this game, i problably wont buy a game from ea in the near future.

And think about how much a server costs to run..you can rent your own server for 350 a month and run 10 servers off of it, but yet it costs 200 dollars for a ranked server.

they wont be making money off of their rip off servers any more after theres no point to being ranked. That should be a reason to add ranks or make the reqs higher.
