The Legion of Merit Ribbon is extremely easy to get. Once you get your 200hours, just be a medic on a 64player Karkand and throw health and revive people.. I got it first try and had over 70 teampoints when the round ended.
The Meritorious Service Medal isn't hard to get, it just takes a long time. Getting repair points isn't hard per say.
The Medal of Valor isn't hard either, just takes time.
Expert engineer is very easy (I know I don't have it yet, but only because I don't have the hours yet) all you have to do is get in an armored convoy with a bunch of friends and all be a wrench, then just drive around and when someone gets hurt drive up next to them, and you'll get a repair point. Trust me, it's easy to that many repairs on a map like Karkand, Songhua Stalemate, Kubra.. whatever.
The War College Ribbon isn't "hard", you just have to be a good asset to your team and hope you have good team players. Often times, you could get a gold and still lose the round, so this ribbon has nothing to do with you and your skill level, it relies solely on your team performance.
Expert knife and Expert explosives are the only ones on that list that I would consider hard.
What about the Good Conduct Medal? That one's hard, 27 kills with zero team damage/kills?

War college is hardest.
War College Ribbon.
The rest you just need the patience of a saint.

Be glad there is no War College Medal.

I've heard that the expert explosives badge can easily be attained by jihad+ATV=37 easy kills with C4.
I voted WC ribbon! Only because most people don't plan ahead when they first start to play the game (including myself).
You don't have to team switch at the end of a round to turn you W/L ratio around either, like some may want you to beleive. You just have to play smart.
Every side of every map can be won, if you know what needs to happen in order to win and your team is not doing it, your team is going to loss.
Here are some basic rules I now follow when playing!
1. Play only servers you know!
2. Play with friends or people you know are strong team players!
3. Don't play on teams that losses map after map, after map!
4. Don’t play on a team that has a high “Lone Wolf” or “Sniper” ratios! Look for a well balanced team that plays in squads!

Good players influence team wins - it only takes 1-2 good players to turn a server around, and not just 16 players, but 64 player servers. I disagree that is has nothing to do with your skill level. Everyone is part of the team, and if you are highly skilled, you can make a huge impact on your win to loss ratio. If you suck the same argument is true. While I agree the WCR has bogus requirements, too many people whine saying it's not my fault I have all these losses. That may be true, but you CAN make a difference. You seem to admit this in your first sentence, but then deny it in your second.CrazeD wrote:

BUT 2 great players cant win all of the time, especially when dumbasses (29 of them) decide to camp the US karkand spawn for example, instead of going back to capture bases. sure there are heroes, but in 1 server out of 100[CANADA]_Zenmaster wrote:

I voted for the war college ribbon! Just got it BTW!
The other awards up there seem unreachable for me. (Not even possible to get)

i think expert first aid badge is the hardest to get.
3 hardest are:
expert engineer
expert first aid
expert pistol
in that order. Why??
Well just to get 25 repair points in a round youll need to spend at least 10 minutes just repairing. yes rounds can go for a long time but also things need to be damged (and not destroyed, except for cmd asetts).
To get 25 heals. (thats the equivelent to 26 sniper(m24) hits healed). So to do this youd have to be the only medic on your team and your medic bags still take time to regeerate so if you use them one people who are only 50% hurt you may need to heal up to or more then 50 people in a game... sound unlikely??? cause it is!!
expert pistol. 5-7 hits to kill, up against atomatic wepons, the odds arnt in your favour. expert knife is easier because if you hit them there dead, they cant turn arund and shoot you back, you hit someone in the back with a pistol theyll turn around and shoot back.
WCR- not hard just takes time. Dont join games which are half way through, and at the beginig of the round join the team which you think will win eg. USMC on karkand, MEC on sharqi, PLA on wake. etc etc. then instead of whoreing points go and def flags or capture flags behind the front line. Dont keep spawing at the front line and just going for kills... its called team work, dont expect others to do it; do it yourself. Play on 16, 32 player size maps where your ability to help your team is more exagerated, but it is also posobe to single handedly win a 64 player game by defending/capturing key a spawn points eg. factory in karkand, TV station sharqi or airfield wake (ok you will need a competant team also, but you can majorly change the outcome). Many people think this is the hardest because when they started playing they didnt care who won the map and just went for points and got a 1:1 W/L ratio and now afetr 500 or so hours go "OHHH crap i now need 2000 wins for the WCR thats impossible" when actually if they had cared about it when they began playing theyd find it alot easier. Others tho just whore points and wonder why they dont win maps.
Metorious service medal: Just takes time. The 1000 repairs by far the hardest, but 100 or so hours as engy reapiring when every possible youll get that easily enough.
Medal of Valor: Play as a team player and the 30k team points isnt hard, the 1000 Defends also not too hard if you pay attention to a compitent commander/UAV's/spots etc. and the 5000 special vechile points just takes the time to learn to fly a chopper and let your gunner GUN!! before 1.2 blackhawk whoring on mashuur was the way to go (unforunatly didnt get that often enough) so i practiced flying the AH-IZ and Mi-28 in sharqi, (got over 1000 in the past month).
Legion of merit: LOL.. this is damn easy, i get close to 50 team points like every 4th or so round, go medic or support and revive/heal/respupply everyone capture flags. Come on people why is this even here, if you cant get 50 team points in a round you have no hope of getting any of the others, if you find it hard sit in the gunners seat of the tank or APC i karkand and you should get 30 driverpoints alone, fly the choppers in sharqi and youll get 50 points (if your a good pilot and ahve a good gunner). run around an almost empty server and a big map and just capture flags.
Expert explosives ordinance: OK this one is also very hard (should have got it twice but was screwed over by the "drunkface[killed]Guy i just mostly destroyed vechile with C4 and then it burnt to destruction" or when they junp out of vechiles and the exploding vechile kills them instead of your explosive. But given the right map and set or crcumstances its very possible (id say this is the 4th hardest afetr the ones listed above).

He's right ya know. Coming from someone (me) that has the WCR, I can tell you that switching at the end of a round does NOT work. I wanted to see for myself if it did or not so I tested it.J0hn.F.Kenedy wrote:
you obviously dont know what your talking about if you switch team at the end of the round you get the win....bingobones wrote:
to people talking about the WCR and team switching:
To all the people complaining about others switching teams before the end to avoid a loss - this cannot happen! Because if you played on MEC for the whole game and then switched to US to avoid the loss you will still get a loss because you played on the losing team for MOST of the game. The win or loss is calculated on which army you played most with during that round. This is how it works im afraid so you are all wrong - and anyone of the few that get the WCR fully deserve it - congrats.
BTW i am going to get this ribbon soon (on a different account).
I went in to a server playing wake as my first map of the day. I played USMC for the whole map and switched teams with 70 tickets left. It took another 10 minutes for the round to end and as soon as it did, I disconnected. I came to my stats page here at bf2s and waited for the update.
Low and behold....a new loss on my record.
I've got MAD respect for WCR holders. If the bullshit they had to go through on a daily basis is anything like what I had to go through, then it is DEFINITLY the most well deserved ribbon in the game.
Imagine if unlocks were determined by W:L ratio's. How long would it take you to lose your mind if you knew that getting or not getting that new gun you wanted real bad was in the hands of 64 complete strangers that didn't give a shit about you. Now multiply that by about 400.
You get the point.
Actually there is one player that have Expert Tactical, Grapple hook and Zipline badges, is a thread in the forum about it !=Robin-Hood= wrote:
I don't know the age of that page, but according to that page the expert grappling hook is probably the most difficult to obtain, because there is nobody who has it...

Your joking right!?!?! If not you realy must never have a bad game day! I have racked up 5 deaths in 3 mins. (Got nailed with arty, Then spawned in middle of gun fight, changed spawn points to get hit with jet bombs, then a tank, changed spawn point again to get nailed by a jet bomb again.) Needless to say i was swearing up and down that i had a bullseye on my ass!!!! *L*hutchy52 wrote:

P.S. somthing that you all forget with getting the expert kit badges is that to get the IRA kills you can use ohhhh a tank, jet, Choppers..... or anything else you only have to get the IRA kills while as that kit. ((Know for fact. GOt my Expert medic in a tank.)) But knike and pistol have to be in top 5 hardest to get!
the warcollege wouldnt be that hard if we had known the requirements earlier... now i have to win 1400 round....whine...

how the hell does one get 25 repair points IAR without stat padding??
i thought it was quite easy. just get two friends, jump in the armour on karkand and be the only mechanic. you'll get constant repair points from them and when your armour is damaged badly, swap over with one of your mates and repair it. find a 16 slot server with a 64 player map, the rounds can last over an hour that way.tthf wrote:
