i will prob play it for years to come, i always play real old games of mine every now and then.
Until EA resets my stats.... once they do i will stop playing, (I have no reason to be reset!) EA just likes to reset people when they are in a bad mood...
Probably till BF3 -- and learn to post in the right place.
I would probably play till BF3 to in hopes that stats will carry over in someway. I am sure they plan on building off BF2 for some time though. I'm guessing at least 2 more years of BF2. After our high end video cards aren't high ended anymore and, are more the norm. then they can use new effects and such to add new dymnamics to gameplay. Like sunglare, reflections, ect.

im gonna play as long as there is some servers online. I never get tired of good FPS games. I still play CS often lol and it make years this game is out.

The way EA likes to change the entire dynamics of the game and screw up the balancing of the kits and vehicles, I figure I'll last about 1 more patch before I throw the game in the trash.

Welll, I should add, probibly a year or 2. By the time I lay BF2 to rest I know I'll need to build a faster computer. Gonna build a 16x system maby in a year or so... But I have not gotten near board of it yet.
The way this works as with HalfLife (the first one/ the mods for that) Then CS then RVS etc. You will play BF2 religiously untill you happen to come across a game you like better. I played CS from Beta 5.0 to retail, them moved later to RVS fr about 2 years or so, and now this. Heck when I bought this I didnt know I was going to be so hooked on it. People were just telling me about it, and I thought well, I'll give it a try.
I know this. The next comp I build Im going all out. It would be nice to build a comp that could keep up for about 2.5 to 3 years.

Actually, I set my goal at 20k points. With college and everything, I only get to play a few hours a day. I've even got two little stickies on the top of my monitor to remind me how much longer I'm going to play.
Too bad you'll only play till 20,000 points...
