what are the advantanges of downloading it over buying it?

i mean, if i can get a hard copy on a dvd, surely it is better i can change computer and have back up if my system crashes or some other disaster

I think it was mention before you are only buying an activation code you stil have to use EA downloader

nope , my buddy seems to be the only lucky one so far, unfortunately everyone else will probably have to pay, I can play EF but the maps but they dont show up in the menu, I cant join by ip but I dont see the servers.

I suggest to everyone save yourself the headache & $10 , all this trouble for 3 little maps is weak.
EA/Dice owes everyone an apology for their poor way of implementing this booster pack, & I'm usually the one sticking up for them.

The sad thing is I'm starting to think they have no idea how to fix the bugs, or make add-ons... wtf didnt they get enough practice with the sims?!

dunno what you're talking bou trollmeat. EF worked fine from the get go.

do i need to redownload 1.22 to play it online. it said i was playing with modified data and i dont get it. it wouldnt let me play online.

My friend has the exact same problem.  I would recommend you try and download and install the incremental 1.22 patch, and if that doesnt work, try the full one.  Les us know how you go..
