I perform Aviation Electronics for the USN and also do some back end mission capabilities. You USAF guys think about Rivet Joint and youll prolly know what i mean. Todays SAM's like SA-10 for instance actually fly about mach 7, so yeah a single lock and your toast ( regardless of reflexes). On that note as well, there is always alot of arguing on these forums about which aircraft/tank/etc is better than another in combat, when realistically ( and im sure f16 guy knows this) there is always alot more too it...ESM,ECM,...and other aircraft that have to be considered EA-6B's for instance. If you want to get in to aviation, i think the best way is to join the military, you get much more experience, and a better work ethic much quicker than starting from the bottom at some random regional airport. Now i can speak only on US military, if you wanna go aviation, the navy is the way to go.

I'd like to know, if there are more bf2 players on this forum that are pilot in real-life.
I am myself a F16C pilot at Volkel Netherlands airbase 302Sqn cpt. Richard.
Flew for 1200 flight hours in my F16C.

I know BF2 isnt any realistic about flying, but i like it.

Please share your aviation background.

I believe F16 Aggressor is a real fighter pilot as well, because I HAVE MORE HOURS than he does
If he was lying he would say he had way more time.  Those poor bastards brief for three hours, go upside down for one, then debrief for another three.  Yaaaaaawwwn.

Would I do it?

In a heartbeat!

What does a Canadian need to get in over there Aggressor?

ThePriest1750 knows some more sensitive info because we are mates since i was 9.

But ontopic again, i used to play Americas Army for a while, then i saw bf2 and thought it was pretty fun to fly the F15 Strike Eagle, cause i like that plane very much.(not to say its anything realistic)

So i joined my mates clan DBB (Dutch Blood Brothers), i dont play that much, something like half an hour a day.

I dont know but, we have had a german crew chief working over here couple years back.
Why would you? Canadian Airforce has the F18 Hornet.

And no, i have more bf2 hours and i dont play much, just to do some fun in my free time at home.

usmarine, I understand your confusion, and you are not alone.  Many Americans ask the same question.  I have included a map for clarification.

Note the dark green shaded area seperating Alaska from the rest of the USA

Yeah, I got a question.

What else besides steering do you do during flying. I heard about someone who failed the study in the far end because he could handle steering but not everything else - and - steering.

Oh, I got another question.

Do you got any real badges? Did you go to Iraq? If so, i read you also get a badge for that.

Thanks, Poncho
