Hi,

I have the following question:
When you disconnect from a server before the round is over, does the server add the WIN or LOSS result to your stats when the round finally ends (without you in the server).

Or does a WIN or LOSS only count if you are in the server when the round end?

Or does the WIN or LOSS count if you have played a certain % of the game (e.g minimal 50%)?


If it does not count the WIN or LOSS to your stats this could help towards the accumulation of your W/L ratio by disconnecting before a lost round ends.

If it counts the WIN of LOSS if you have played a certain % that would be fair for players connecting to a server just before the round ends in a loss. In that case the LOSS is not counted in your stats, since you did not play enough % of the round.

If the server counts the WIN or LOSS towards the stats of any player that has been in that round regardless of the fact they have disconnected than all of us are credited with LOSSES of rounds we only attended for a few moments before we disconnected (like when you disconnect when a new round has just started).

So my basic question is what are the rules for accrediting you with a WIN or LOSS if you not finish a round (you disconnected early or late in the game)?

as far as i know if u disconnect before the round ends - u get no points / badges / win loss stats - basically u get nothing...but im not 100 %

If you disconnected before the end it is +1 loss for you.

Perhaps I am mistaken.

it counts. if you are in the looser team ... u get a loss... if you are in the winner team, u get a win . all points, ribbons etc. will count too.

That is incorrect.  As long as you are in the server for more than some specified period of time, any points, kills, deaths, etc. will go toward your stats.  As will the win/loss.  If you are in the game for part of a round but leave early, you still get credited with the win/loss.  Otherwise, people would just leave right before the end of the round so that they wouldn't get the loss.

if u disconnect u get your points, badges,but i don't know if u get a win or a loss...

anyway i think ur wrong - i once got a ribbon but had to leave before round ended (was in for atleast 60% of game) and that ribbon never showed up.

some servers will BAN if you disco to "get out of a loss" because that too is a form of stats padding

You get the all your stats that you have received during the round. Also if you try to switch sides so you can the win, your wrong it goes by how long you where on the side.

I know you will not get ribbons/badges (from my experience), but I've always gotten my points.  I'm not sure if that's how it is supposed to be, but it has consistantly been like this for me.

i was playing on a server, but near towards the end i for some reason lost my connection, for that round i was a commander, using an Engineer kit, so i sat myself in the aircraft carrier AA, during the round i got the basic engineer combat badge, a ribbon of some kind, a basic commander badge and the air defense badge, not through stat padding, enemy pilots just seemed to really want to get a piece of me so i was killed a few times but managed to shoot a bucket load of planes down, anyway as i said i got disconneted, just said there is a problem with your connection and then moments later i went back to the sever screen and it said your connection to the server has been lost, anyway  all the points, medals, badges and want not have never showed up, i have since reearned them, so i guess it is possible that if you disconnect or lose your connection you lose everytthing in that round, just speaking from my experience

Got a vet assault and basic assault specialist and disconnected due to my PC trying to be funny..
They are both in my stats - so yeah, things are shipped to BFHQ on the fly (although it rarely seems that way )

If the server crashed after you left you wouldn't receive it.  I got my veteran explosives during a round then left with 100 tickets left and it still registered.  My friend gets gold everytime he plays and he's kicked a lot and still gets the gold.  He rapes in an APC and will have 6x kills then gets booted.  It's funny because he still gets gold even though he is not on the list at the end.

Try this test.  Enter a server and play for 5-10 minutes.  Leave the server.  Re-enter the server.  It should still show the points you earned before leaving the server.

There is a lot of misinformation posted here.  These are the absolute facts.  Argue all you like, but you will be wrong.

1. There is no minimum time you must be on a server for you to get points, kills, medals etc. in your stats.  As long as you spawn in before the round ends, you will get a win or loss depending on how your team finishes.  If you spawn in 5 seconds before the round ends, you will still get the win or loss.  As an example, I have entered a round, gotten kicked within a few seconds for a high ping rate, and still been credited with the win or loss.  This may not be fair, but that's how it is.

2.  Being disconnected (or voluntarily leaving the server) before the round ends has no bearing on your kill/death, win/loss or medals.  Once something is earned, it is earned. Period.  I know sometimes a medal or a round result doesn't show up in the stats.  This has probably happened to everyone now and again.  However, this is not a result of the official scoring or award system.  It is just one of those bugs or server problems which are an inevitable part of on-line gaming.

3.  The only exception to #2 may be for commanders. I am not sure you get credited with your command points or command time if you leave a round, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, before the round ends.  Maybe someone can chime in on this issue.

Well I was once on a server.. and some1 had this kick ass score and got kicked and at the end of the round he still got a silver medal, though he wasnt there..

The server crashed and got rebooted so the stats for the round in which the crash happened were lost

You get points, kills, deaths, ribbons, badges and even gold, silver or bronze star.
I once was autokicked because of teamkilling (dropping my bombs in all the wrong places) but I got the gold star for that round.

I have been kicked countless times for swearing, and upon returning to the server I am given a death.

Also I have lost the connection to a server, reconnected and then also was awarded a death.

Teamswitching at the end of a round will award you a win, my friend does that all the time and proved to me it works when I was over his place.  Just my observations...
