No they are not just flavored water. Coffee and tea both contain medicinal properties that water does not. Countless plants may be boiled into a tea. Each with their own unique chemical properties. Coffee is basically coffee bean tea.

Tea is much better than coffee for taste and medicinal benefits. Mountain Dew or energy drinks are far superior caffeine delivery vehicles to both.

I do. There was a year when I was in the army that I drank nothing but Mountain Dew. Used to drink it by the case. Went to the dentist and he asked me if I'd picked up a Coke or Mountain Dew habit since my last checkup. Have only had it twice since

So true nuk! Sprite, Mtn Dew, and many sodas just taste like the poison that they are. Coke still tastes like some heavenly manufactured goodness though.

The idea of this thread wasnt to re ignite the old debate, however, I like the way its developed. My personal thoughts are if we/you wanted we could use this thread as a debate for any two things in regards to what is more preferable.

Well then, black tea or green tea? Black tea is the obvious winner to me, but that is only because I was basically force fed it in Russia and grew to love it over green tea, even when my host family there finally bought green tea and let me try it.
