That sounds a bit shit. I think you went with the right option though, surgery, no matter how small, has its risks, and if you can let it heal on its own you probably should. What did the doc say you should do?-Sh1fty- wrote:

Because I grew too fast and didn't maintain a good weight I got these little "blubs" as he calls them, on the top of my lungs. They were eventually gong to pop and now that they have there's a 50% chance it could happen again. So my choices are, immediately get a chest tube that sucks the air out of my chest, and go home the next day. Take an x-ray tomorrow morning and if everything is the same or better I can go home and it'll heal itself. Or I can do an operation that seals my lung to my inner chest and even if it does pop again it won't collapse. I don't feel too good about surgery so I decided that if it pops again, which I have 1 in 2 chances it will, I'll get it fixed with surgery.
Surgery would be the best long-term solution IF it pops again but now that the main "blub" popped it might not happen again.
I don't know if I made the right choice.
