I would've loved to grow up in OC, most of the bands I've listened to over the years originated thereKEN-JENNINGS wrote:
Haha I remember going to an Rx bandits show in high school. They are from around here. In fact I distinctly remember the venue and the show itself. Old school haha.heggs wrote:
Oh alright. I'm kind of the same way. There are a few people that I'll always follow from band to band, but not many.Jay wrote:
I do do that. I go back and look for bands that I haven't experienced before, or that I overlooked, but my boundaries are still in place. I'd much rather go explore a new-to-me punk band from the late 70s than listen to stuff put out today. Pandora actually helps me find new old stuff fairly regularly which is nice.
Well, I have a recommendation for you. May or may not be up your alley.
Have you ever checked out the RX Bandits? They originally started out doing ska-punk, but now they're more rockish-somethingorother. Don't know how to describe it, they are extremely technical and all very talented. Most of the music is pretty fast, so it might appeal to you. When I want to listen to something a little on the complicated and technical side, I put them on.
