Here at the business I've opened up for a few new seasonal help and potentially keep the better ones on pay-roll after the holidays

But .......... all I see strolling through my door are shits that don't give a fuck and are just wasting my paperwork to extend their unemployment

I have resumes that are hand written with magic marker, paperwork that has numerous miss-spell words including the applicants names, had some-one else fill out the paperwork for the applicant, make a stand to not fill out any paperwork, wearing clothing that hasn't been washed in easily a week, demand from the applicant that he/she only work certain hours and to not be disturbed in the morning till the applicant has their third cup of coffee ( as they are handing me the paperwork & resume that's written in pencil ), applicant informing that when I hire her that she is to immediately to go on paid vacation

So, when you're applying for a job do you do it a bit more respectful ....... or would you rather just take a shit in the office of your potential employer

I saw a person around my age try to get a job at McDonald's today. He came dressed like he had just gotten off a drug corner. One of the workers he knew told him to speak "grammaticaly correct English" before talking to the manager. Needless to say he didn't even get a job application. Brain fart

most call usually couple hours later, wondering when they can start

and that's how the phone conversation starts ........... I pick up the receiver ... " hello " ............................................................. " when can I start " ............................." start, what " .................... " that job .... I filled out your paper " ..................................... " a name could help me find your paperwork faster " ............... " I filled it out this morning " .........

a) businesses are starting to discriminate against people that are currently unemployed or have been out of work for awhile
b) the pay rate of past employment

i'm getting a lot of "thanks for applying" responses but no interviews, even for warehouse type work. i'm being told i'm 'over-qualified', whatever that's supposed to mean.

i'm lucky, i have the chance to go back to school. i'm 19 credits short of my degree, but what got me thinking about school was

none of these local fuckers wanted to pay someone to do warehouse work when they have a CDL (mine's a class B, no hazmat) or IT work for someone that has 15 years experience.

i wish you well finding someone, and only ask that you don't discriminate against age. us old fuckers know how to work, and aren't afraid of it.
