Yeah at first I thought he'd just pull out a stinger, so it was impressive.
But bailing from a jet like is anoying imo.
I fly the Jets pretty often and hate not getting the kill cause they bailed. If I have a jet on my 6 and legitimately get shot to shit I'm fine to let them have the kill.

I remember when bailing became a dishonourable thing to do in Battlefield 1942. Pissed the Hell out of me. Generally the most awesome times that were to be had in that game was when after being in a dogfight and coming off second best. You'd have to first avoid the plane that continued to strafe you and then find a way to get back to friendly lines, often fighting or avoiding other enemy troops on the way. Always seemed like such an adventure, especially when you'd find yourself at the enemy main base and managed to steal one of their planes to get back into the fight. If someone wants to bail I think that's fine, especially considering how easy it is to shoot down enemy aircraft in BF3. Their chances of survival are pretty slim anyway and with people now being awarded vehicle destruction bonuses and kill assists there is really no need for someone to feel like they were robbed of a kill.

Although the AA pisses me off sometimes, with it's presence everywhere, it's still manageable. I've flown in a jet for over 3 hours now and I rarely get shot down anymore. Missiles are easy to evade and there's always something available, somewhere to shoot at.
Only thing that gets me is the shakiness.

so i was playing a round and got a ribbon. game then crashed and i stopped playing. i didnt get points but i got my ribbon o fk this isnt main thread lol

My favourite setup for jets at the moment is maintenance, fire extinguishers and rockets. Good combo for staying up as long as possible to cover for all cases.

yeah I hate it when that happens. As if AA wasn't annoying enough without oneshotting you out of a jet
