Why would any footballer want to even be associated with the rioters? Would you really want people to think of you as the face of the rioter crowd?

Not really how it works, what I meant was a lot of the footballers came from the same towns and even same estates as a lot of these youths, and the youths still idolize them and don't resent them for their money, football and music is their lives.Macbeth wrote:

I know that. I'm just saying it kinda degrades the 'brand' a little. I don't think Jordan's brand would have benefited if he got on TV and asked people to stop killing each other during the LA riots.justice wrote:

People associate things and remember events in weird ways. You get what I'm saying right?
Right?

Does the law protect me? What is 'reasonable force'?
Anyone can use reasonable force to protect themselves or others, or to carry out an arrest or to prevent crime. You are not expected to make fine judgements over the level of force you use in the heat of the moment. So long as you only do what you honestly and instinctively believe is necessary in the heat of the moment that would be the strongest evidence of you acting lawfully and in self-defence. This is still the case if you use something to hand as a weapon.
As a general rule, the more extreme the circumstances and the fear felt, the more force you can lawfully use in self-defence.

It's stupid;
groups of Turks protecting the mainly Turkish community of Dalston = Heroes
Sikhs protecting Southall (mainly Sikh area) = Heroes
White men protecting Enfield and Millwall (white areas) = everyone on twitter calls them racist...
Fucking bollocks
Actually having seen that, I can sort of see why people are saying that. Whilst the Sikhs come across as being civilised and sensible, the white dudes just sound like football hooligans. And the EDL are getting involved, never missing out on an opportunity to beat some none-white people.
So what exactly are the rioters trying to accomplish? When all is said and done who is going to rebuild? The rioters or the people that they're rioting against?

They aren't rioters, they are looters.
They have realised the cops are unprepared for things like this so are taking advantage of it. Its basically all the criminals coming out of the wood work.

Hmmm...
That's kinda sad. Reminds me of the LA and Tampa Riots over police brutality.
I wonder if the law abiding populous was armed, if this would be over by now.

given the state of some of the rioters (drunk, young, retarded) i'm rather happy they don't have general access to firearms tbqh.
