For now, the important thing is to warn folks who have certain Ubisoft games installed on their PCs that an apparent backdoor has been discovered in the Uplay infrastructure/DRM which may in theory allow any anyone so minded to install God knows what horrors on your PC.

Yeah but how hard is that initial activation going to be? Will we have to type the serial codes in five different boxes now and scan/upload a proof of purchase?

It's going to take them years of goodwill to get back into the good graces of PC gamers. I don't think it's worth it for either party.
what ubisoft needs to do is make good pc games and there you go good graces

Not only do they need to make a good PC game, but they need to convince alienated customers that it's a good PC game and actually less of a hassle to purchase than to pirate.

It had some things going for it. A lot of filler though.
It could've been far less wonky than it was. Maybe if I had expected less, I'd have played more of it.
