MW2 used the IW 4.0 engine, and MW3 will use the IW 5.0 version.

and improvements have been made to the streaming technology to allow for larger levels without significant cost to performance, as well as upgrades to the lighting and audio systems.

So yeah, but I doubt it'll be noticeable.
