straws and the clutching thereof.
The paradox is only a conflict between reality and your feeling what reality ought to be.

Notwithstanding whether this was a wise thing to say or not diplomatically, I cannot help but find my estimation of these two going up several notches because of this. The French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, described the Israeli prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, as a "liar" in a private exchange with Barack Obama at last week's G20 summit in Cannes that was inadvertently broadcast to journalists.
"I cannot stand him. He's a liar," Sarkozy told Obama. The US president responded by saying: "You're fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day."
Will be interesting to see how that impacts the peace process, if at all. I'm sure there was worse in the leaked diplomatic cables...and in whatever the Israelis have collected on US diplomats over the years.Spark wrote:

I think not.
It was probably leaked by Perry, but the news media is having a field day with it because it's sensational, and it helps their particular party of choice.Spark wrote:

There's some news station that says it has a photo of Cain and that chick in close conversation from several years back...will have to wait and see if that's true or just media frenzy.Kmar wrote:
He came out and said that he did not even know the woman that stepped forward today. It seems to me that is a pretty bold statement, that could easily be disproved if he is lying.
That's what I mean.. He said he did not even know her. All it takes is a photo or a few witnesses to yank his credibility from here on out.FEOS wrote:

I would be surprised if Perry got in bed with Allred on this. If it came out that he did, his career is done, both at the state and national level. Particularly at the state level. Hell, he'd have to move out of Texas completely...
Second Cain accuser goes public, says she might hold joint presser with others
Interesting that she’s decided to speak out now after The Daily revealed her identity. Is that because she knows she’ll be hounded anyway and figures she has nothing to lose in talking to the press? Or is she tired of Cain calling her a liar?
“When you are being sexually harassed in the workplace, you are extremely vulnerable,” [Kraushaar] said. “You do whatever you can to quickly get yourself into a job someplace safe, and that is what I thought I had achieved when I left.”…
She said she did not know whether or how she might tell more of her story, but had been warming “to the idea of a joint press conference where all of the women would be together with our attorneys and all of this evidence would be considered together.”
She said of Mr. Cain: “These allegations can be considered together as a body of evidence.”
Politico reveals that she’s the one who received the $45,000 settlement from the NRA. Via Fox News, here’s two snippets from Cain’s presser, the highlight of which was probably him saying he’d be willing to take a lie-detector test — but only if someone gives him a good reason to do it. I’m thinking the spectacle of multiple accusers in front of the cameras, using their own names, at a joint press conference would be withering enough to give him that reason. ....there must be some documentation somewhere confirming or debunking Bialek’s story about the meeting and the hotel in 1997. Either the hotel, the NRA, or a credit card company must have receipts.
Never heard a degree in military tech lol. I'm sure most people working for defense contractors end up doing engineering degrees or had previous military experience.Macbeth wrote:
WSJ put together employment and wage rankings for college majors. The least popular major is "MILITARY TECHNOLOGIES". It has one of the highest unemployment rates but also one of the highest earnings. Top 10 in both respects. I have never even heard of this degree field and only came across a few schools that even provide it through a quick google search. Anyone ever heard of a degree in Military Tech?
Actually answered my own question.FEOS wrote:

No.
Question answered.
I remember people who opened their mouth about Obama's ties to Bill Ayers being immediately put down as racists. Now we have Cain being accused of stuff that Clinton did pretty much in broad daylight. *shrug*Jay wrote:
