We all know the Holocaust plays a huge role in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian mess that we have today.
Yes, the Israelis have done some downright nasty things. I'm not giving them a free pass. Neither side is innocent here. The history of the region is LONG and the whole area has been disputed for close to all of recorded history.
A "two-state solution" is about the best thing out there, and even that would be an imperfect outcome for either side.

For the last 2,000 years they have been Europeans, but recently felt like a move.
I still see no reason whatever for the Palestinians to lose half or all of their country as a consequence of WW2 - when Western nations bear as much blame for the jewish part of the holocaust as anyone else.

The founding of Israel is perhaps not ideal but there were few preferable options and ultimately the Arabs need to get over it. It was 60 years ago now and Israel is not going anywhere.
