So, I noticed one night that my car makes a weird metallic rattling noise at around 2000-3500/4000rpm in 2nd and 3rd gear.
It sounds like if a small piece of metal or something is bouncing around beneath the car.
I will make a video to record the sound, if i'm able to do it.
anybody know what that noise might be?

I know its not much of info but,

Its a Golf MarkVI 1.4 TSI.

Well I took a quick look underneath with a torch and everything seemed to be fine, but i'm not a car expert.
And well if i bring my car to a mechanic, knowing how italian mechanics work i know they will charge me for something simple or even for nothing.

Isn't this like the fifth thread in which you wanted us to diagnose your car troubles? Get a new car already.

Also it could be a lot of things though my bet : heat shield.

Check your catalytic converter. The shielding could be loose. If not, check your exhaust, especially the hangers. Try to pinpoint general area of the car.(front, back ect.) That would help.Good luck.

If it's coming from beneath the car, it's likely an exhaust problem. However, it could sound like it coming from underneath when it's really coming from your engine or tranny, in which case, you might be screwed and you better not drive it any further (in order to reduce the risk of severe damage.)
