That's the thing, you can't quit if it's something you think you "should" do, you can only do it because you actually want to. I find it's easier too. You get tempted sometimes, but just remember the feeling for one doesn't last forever, it dissipates after a few minutes or so.

UCL is incredibly competitive, AAA's may not be enough. 'entry requirements' are not the be-all-and-end-all. it's like min/recommended gaming specs. sure your machine meets the grade but will it play it on 100fps+? the quality of your personal statement is a huge deciding factor, too.

fyi i have experience with UCL admissions as i may be taking a taught master's there next year, depending on funding.

Do it. Pipes are to be enjoyed not out of addiction (so I'd still follow thorough with the no cigs).
I've built up a 4 day rotation, all though I smoke one maybe one a month.

I've got a Stanwell #185 there. Beautiful pipe, easy to hold, and it keeps my hand warm in the winter.

My best pipe is a dunhill. This one

The other 2 are $50 fuck around pipes (I use one when duck hunting and haven't properly broken in the other yet.)

I don't smoke aromatics outta the dunhill as I don't want to taint the flavor and don't smoke em' enough regular stuff to cycle out the residual taste. Honestly there are two aromatics I reccomend. One of them smells like scotch (unlit) and is a pleasant smoke. Blue Note is the shit. Awesome smoke. People actually stand near me when I'm burning a bowl of this stuff to get a whiff.
